Okay but LOOK AT THIS CREW🥹

Tonight’s session almost didn’t happen! Their original date had some AWFUL weather, so we rescheduled for tonight… only for those storms to roll in around 5 PM, OF COURSE😂 Thankfully, about 10 minutes after their start time, the sun decided to make an appearance, and I am SO thankful they stuck it out because it was so worth it!

I actually went to school with this sweet girl, and I photographed her college graduation session back in November. Fun little photographer fact: that was actually the very first session I photographed with my new camera! And tonight, she was back in front of another new camera of mine, this time with her whole family!

And because my photographer heart apparently needed one more reason to be happy tonight… she already booked a couples session before the night even ended🥰

I absolutely LOVE seeing familiar faces in front of my camera, but I love it even more when I get to see them often! Getting to photograph people through all of life’s different seasons is seriously one of my favorite parts of this job.

College grad photos ➡️ family photos ➡️ couples photos next🤍 I’ll never get over getting to be the person behind the camera for all of these memories.

Keep bringing me along for all the chapters, I’ll happily be here to capture them!

Because in the last week, we got to capture two sweet kids stepping into their newest roles: BIG SIBLING🥹

As a big sister myself, these are some of my absolute favorite moments to capture. There’s just something so special about watching that sibling bond begin and capturing all the little moments in between.

I can’t wait to share more from both of their in home sessions! Both families chose to include their extended family, and I’m SO thankful they did🥰 Some of my favorite images from these sessions are the ones that show just how loved these little ones already are.

NIGHT OWL CHECK IN 🌙

This is honestly my core editing time 😂
There’s just something about editing at night when everything is QUIET. The house is calm, the world is asleep, and I can just put on some music and get lost in editing.

I know most people are asleep right now, but this is when I feel like I get the most done!

So if you ever wonder what your photographer is doing at 2 AM…
There’s a very good chance I’m right here editing your photos🤣

If we’re being honest, sometimes when I’m sending out those 6–7 AM texts, I’m actually just finally headed to bed for the night🤪 I seriously get LOCKED IN when I’m doing what I love, and sometimes I look up and realize somehow the sun is already awake.

Lately I feel like I’ve been flipping between SO many different session types, and sometimes it’s hard for even me to remember if I’ve already posted a newborn session this week or if it’s been a month since I shared a family session!

I have been WAITING for fall at DeBuck’s, and after seeing their fall setup from last year… I need to get my camera out there this year 😭

So I’m opening up 3 discounted sessions at DeBuck’s Family Farm for the first weekend of fall!

✨ 1 Couple
✨ 1 Mama + Baby
✨ 1 Family

These sessions are a chance for me to photograph some of the beautiful new fall setups DeBuck’s has this year while giving you some gorgeous fall photos to enjoy! 🍂

And the best part? This is only the SECOND date DeBuck’s has open for their fall season! That means you’ll be some of the very first people getting to experience their 2026 fall setup!

🎃 Clients are responsible for purchasing their own admission tickets to DeBuck’s

Special pricing: $75 + tax

Because these are discounted portfolio sessions, I am looking for kiddos who are comfortable being in front of the camera and able to participate during the session.

In exchange for the discounted rate, I’ll be using images from these sessions for my photography portfolio and social media.

Today was busy in the best way 🤍

A day full of planning future sessions, meeting with wedding clients, sneaking in some sweet newborn snuggles, and ending the night with the sweetest session🥹✨

We’re also starting to plan some fun things for fall, including a Debuck’s day that I’m SO excited to share more about soon! We will need some discount model sessions for our first date there in September 🍂👀

I got back to the house pretty late tonight, so I’ll be catching up with all of you tomorrow! I have another busy office day ahead and some more newborn snuggles planned for the morning, so for now, I’m calling it a night!

Golden hour senior session? Count me in!

I pulled out of the parking lot and just knew there was no way I was going into my editing corner without hopping on to post one from tonight because she absolutely killed her senior session🥹

And while we’re on the senior topic… holy cow, you guys have taken over my books😂 I’ve been absolutely loving all of the senior sessions lately, and getting to capture all of the different personalities, interests, and hobbies between each senior has been SO much fun.Truly, I don’t think I’ve had two seniors that felt the same this year, and I love that!

Now, back to our editing corner to finish up some final galleries to go out tonight 🥰

Fall is coming… and apparently you guys are ready for it because my calendar is already filling up FAST🍂🤎

There’s just something about this time of year. The changing leaves, cozy outfits, golden evenings, and getting to freeze another season of your family exactly as they are right now!
These sessions are from last fall, and looking through them has me SO excited for everything coming this year! 🤍

I’ve already had another fall date booked tonight, so we are officially down to just a handful of weekend dates for the rest of 2026!

A few things I learned this week as I continue figuring out this new camera and all the fun little things that come with it 🤪

First… these files are HUGE compared to what I was shooting before. Like double and triple the size. I knew the files would be bigger, but I definitely underestimated just how much bigger they would be. And apparently when you’re uploading 2–3 giant galleries, they only want to upload one at a time at dinosaur speed🫠

Then I learned my inbox was FULL and that was actually causing some of my emails not to send!
So I spent HOURS cleaning out my inbox, including emails dating all the way back to 2022… oops 😂

Now that we have some room in there, it’s going to be a late night figuring out what didn’t send, but we’re SO excited to get some more galleries out🥰

And speaking of galleries I can’t wait to share… sessions lately have been nothing short of a DREAM.

Sneak peeking another this couple because they didn’t let the rain ruin their session, and I’m SO glad they didn’t. There’s something about embracing the unexpected that can make a session even more special. I’m absolutely LOVING what I’m getting from this new camera setup and cannot wait for you guys to see more! 📸

Sunday updates didn’t happen this week after the rain got me last night, so here’s some Monday night updates for you instead!

We had a newborn session this morning, and then I’ve been GLUED to my computer all day because FOUR sessions are headed out for previews tonight! This sweet session is one of them, so I couldn’t help but share one more before they get to enjoy the rest!

If you’re wondering what my calendar has looked like this month, we’ve actually had 34 sessions so far in August!! 😭🥰 And with the way the rest of the month is looking, I’ll be seeing at least one of you every day for the rest of August!

I actually looked at my calendar tonight and realized I only had 6 days without sessions this month, and 4 of those were scheduled off days so I could give my brain and eyes a little break🤣 These long editing hours are NO JOKE!

But seriously, we are SO incredibly grateful for each and every one of you who continues to trust us with your memories, your milestones, your families, and your stories🥹🤍 Over 34 sessions in one month is something I don’t take for granted for a second, and we truly wouldn’t be here without all of you!

I have a few openings for Minis at Sterling State Park on Sunday night! That’s my last Mini of August, and our last opening for the month!

We’re back at the farm in September for TWO Minis! Our Tractor Minis are back for a SECOND year, and we’re so excited to finally have a Barnyard Date Night in the summer heat! The only other Mini Session open in September is our Autumn Moments Minis at Elizabeth Park! These were some of my favorite Minis last year! The fall colors are just STUNNING🤎

We still have a few openings for full sessions in both September and October too! So whether you’re looking for a fall family session, couples session, senior session, maternity, or anything in between, there are still a few dates available!
