I first met Meghan at the barrel race in Carroll County last year. With her mainly rodeoing in Virginia and West Virginia we don’t run into each other very often. It was fun getting to know her during her senior session. We lucked out with a gorgeous golden evening and I’m excited for her gallery! Thanks for hanging out with me, Meghan! As we searched for a background this setting spoke to me. Sierra is a talented singer and she is widely known for performing her cover of “My Jesus” by Anne Wilson. The song is all about the mercy and grace of Jesus and how he paves the way for sinners to find redemption as they embrace a new life full of healing and love.
Seeing this pile of rubble made me think of that song and how Jesus brings beauty from ashes to rebuild shattered pasts and turn them into beautiful futures.

Karin started competing in rodeo 2 years ago and was a part of PHSRA for just under 2 years. When she started, she not only had to learn the sport herself, but she also had to completely train her horse in all three of her events - breakaway, goat tying, and barrel racing! She is always such a positive person with the kindest soul. It has been a joy to work with her these past two years.

I met Sophia through watching her compete in youth rodeo and then had a lot of fun getting to do her senior photos! When she asked me to do a couple’s session with her and her boyfriend, Nate, I was excited! Their session was supposed to be last fall, but we had to postpone thanks to weather. Last night may have felt like a sauna outside, but it was a PERFECT evening for photos! Thank you guys for hanging out with me for these! Sophia, you are beautiful as ever and your smile is so infectious!

A couple of months ago I had an idea to put on a faith infused concert to kick off a rodeo. Thank you to everyone who supported this vision and brought it to life at the spring Maryland High School Rodeo at the J Bar W Ranch! You all are amazing and the feedback seemed to be pretty unanimous that we need to do this again! So on that note I hope you all enjoy this sneak peek of what was hopefully the flagship event of more to come!

Tyler, Katie, and Nic, thank you all for sharing beautiful messages. You did great. Sierra, and Naomie thank you for singing and bringing a dose of joy and inspiration to the afternoon! It was a beautiful way to kick off the rodeo. Of course, thanks to Justin for helping as our announcer, sound guy, and even backup singer! We appreciated all you did!
