Nationally known for her critically acclaimed children’s and family portraiture, Sandra Stroh-Smiltnieks operates exclusive carriage trade portrait studios in both Germantown, TN, a suburb of Memphis, and in the town of New London, NC, located in the Piedmont area of North Carolina. it Photography, Sandra managed the corporate photography departments of several national companies. Her thirty years of professional photography experience is broad and varied, ranging from commercial and advertising photography to finally to her true passion, heirloom portraiture. Sandra had the distinct honor of being selected by Eastman Kodak as one of only twenty-five professional photographers in the United States to be named to the prestigious Pro Team, a select group of multi-talented photographers who share their knowledge with other professional photographers throughout the US and Canada. Sandra also conducted seminars instructing other professionals on the finer points of environmental portraiture throughout the US and Canada. Sandra’s images have been printed in numerous national publications including The New York Times and Professional Photographer Magazine. Her images were selected by Hasselblad for a journal which is produced in eight languages and distributed to professional photographers worldwide.
