I stopped in my tracks the other night walking through the door. It made my heart sink. Just a few years ago when I would walk through the door, little foot stomps would come barreling towards me, yelling "Mommy is home"... And I am not sure when it stopped but I realized that their little arms now wrap around my waist instead of my legs, their eyes are closer to mine and I don't have to bend down to give them a hug. I can no longer pick them up and twirl them, or carry them to bed after they fall asleep in my bed. When did growing up have to be hard? When will it ever stop me mid step and wonder, "When did this happen?"
