Kelly Ann Seaman Photography Kelly Ann Seaman is a hobbyist photographer focusing on child and family photography. I loved that class. More important to my story though, I love photography.

I was wait listed for Photography 101 each semester leading up to my Senior year. The second registration opened for my very last semester at Monmouth College, I was the first one in that course. Though I was passionate and loved my major of English Education, I've joked before that if I had taken that photography class my first semester, my life could have taken a different course. That semester,

I spent hours in the darkroom in awe of the power of light to process images. I waited for the perfect time of day to take self portraits in the window light of my dorm room. I made my friends brave the frigid February cold to stand against brick walls and have their picture taken for my next assignment. There is such power in a captured image. Photographs can do what all people wish they could: stop time. I love to tell stories. It's why I was an English major, and it's why I'm a photographer. Pictures tell the stories of our lives. I would love to tell yours.

This afternoon was so much fun for me. I got to take my first former student's senior pictures!

Kris plans to serve in the Marines after graduating. His character and kindness define Kris as a person, and I have to say, it's very clear where he gets that from.

They say it's good luck to have rain at your wedding, I think it's better luck to marry your best friend, and that's exactly what these two did.
