As some of you now know... our sweet Julia Constance Terry is engaged to Nick Payne ...
A few months ago he messaged me to help him with finding a ring... then THE RONA struck and that ring money quickly became bill money. He was talking to me about his frustration and I was just like... “Look man... I understand wanting the perfect ring and I appreciate how responsible you’re being but if you really want HER then quit waiting and GO GET HER. A simple gold band will do just fine, most brides get two rings anyway. An engagement ring and then a wedding band. So get the simple band now and the fancy ring before the wedding. You’ve both done s**t ass backwards your entire lives why should this be any different?”

Apparently my brash logic made sense because that is exactly what he did.
I don’t take this lightly... I have had front row seats and back stage passes to watching a man destroy my sister.. I have watched her hurt more than anyone EVER should... but these last few months there is lightness back to her. A joy, that I hadn’t seen in so long, I forgot it was missing. A comfort to her soul... it’s hard to find the words, but what I see is more than just “happiness”.
Seeing her and Clementine loved, safe, happy, comfortable, protected and cared for is something we have all prayed for for so long. Sometimes God has to take a wrecking ball to our lives to turn them into what he wants for us. But man... when He’s done it really is something to behold.
