If I could say one thing I feel confidant about in my work it would not be the outcome of my work it at all. It’s that I feel like no matter how nervous my clients might be when the session starts, they are feeling calm and light by the time they leave.
I might not ever feel like my work is as good as I want it. I think that’s most creatives- BUT being intentional about connecting with my client and developing this within myself as a photographer has become my greatest contribution to the quality of my work.

This time last year was such a blur. Between moving onto our dream property (needing its fair share of love) , working and keeping up with caring for my family- I was just trying to stay afloat. I didn’t even share the majority of my work. I ran into this sweet family last weekend at a birthday party and we started chatting about this year family session she wanted to book and I realized I never even shared last years session. Thankful for clients that keep coming back, that I get to build relationships with and watch grow like this one.

My girl said she wanted them to look filmy with lots of grain and I was happy to oblige. My kids will always be my favorite subjects. They are the whole reason I took interest in photography. I told Grace when we finished this session, “one down only about eight more to go.” I’m lucky she puts up with me. She’s going to have more senior photos than anyone but I know I will never look back and think I should have taken less. She is the person I wish I could have been in high school. Shoot probably through my 20’s as well. She is so disciplined, well-rounded, witty, and caring. She goes down her own path and she’s not afraid to be who God made her to be. Grace- you have my adoration and all my love. I hope you have the best senior year!

I’ve had a lot of people ask if I’m taking on sessions again and the answer is…”YES!” In fact in addition to full sessions I have a couple dates currently offering short sessions. Perfect for those with littles that you don’t think will last a full hour or if you are just short on time in this season of life but still want beautiful photos. Link to book is in bio or DM for a link to be sent to you to book. First date for short sessions this Sunday! Photos of my two handsome cowboys in location on our beautiful property in the time frame short sessions will be held and done in 15 min to give you a taste.
