33 years ago this month, I took a leap into the world of commercial photography. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of capturing brands, moments, and people in ways I never imagined possible. I love visual storytelling.
This craft has taught me patience, creativity, resilience, and the power of perspective—both in art and in life. I’m endlessly grateful for the clients who trusted me, the teams who inspired me, and the journey that continues to unfold, one frame at a time.

I was recently asked what my top favorite images were. I had to really think about it. I have made a lot of images in 30 plus year professional career. Here is one of them. I am still working on the others.

This is a real image with no Photoshop. The goats were standing on this old school bus. My son Liam was with me.

Mile and a half south of my studio. An image from a year ago that I have wanted to rework.
I am cataloging and separating images into groupings for an upcoming book. I am taking my time and using a critical eye to determine if the image is book worthy. I dont want any filler images, only the best images I have made over 30 years of photographing the mid west landscape.

Today I am cleaning my studio and found a box of older printed pieces I photographed. I was fortunate to have worked with an awesome client that trusted me to shoot Cracker Barrel Restaurants for many years. It was so much fun.
Just how long ago? Well, this is my son on the cover and today is 25. Time flies. I am sure I will across a few pieces with his brother too who 23.
