A spectacular night for JV football yesterday evening as Boyne hosted Charlevoix in their newly updated facilities which were very nice. Going into the half game was tied 8-8 but Boyne came out strong to take a pretty sizable lead to finish out the game. I covered Michael and Caden from Charlevoix and Grant from Boyne. This season I have Boyne Varsity, Pop warner and a middle school game on the schedule. Tonight, I am off to cover a few Glen Lake Football players as they host Harbor Springs. So many beautiful choices of locations to get married or have other events between the Boyne Mountain Resort, The Highlands, and the Inn at Bay Harbor. Last night I was in Ellsworth to cover Madison, Chloe and Bridget as they hosted the Red Devils. It was tough conditions in the gym for the players as it was probably the most humid and hot conditions I have seen. The Lancers would end up dropping 3 games to the Red Devils but still displayed a great effort throughout the night. Tonight, I am off to Boyne for several JV football players as Charlevoix is coming to town. Should be a good rivalry game.

Tonight, I am off to Ellsworth for volleyball. Since I did not have a game last night here are a few random images from Fridays Charlevoix/East Jordan game. Friday Nights Charlevoix vs East Jordan images are complete and uploading to links now. This was a good game to watch going back and forth. East Jordan had the lead going into halftime and it wasnt looking positive for the Charlevoix Rayders Football team. However, They battled back and ended up edging out the Red Devils in the second half. I was very pleased with how both teams played overall. First game of the season so of course there will be things to work out but I have high expectations for both of these teams this season and will be following them closely as the season progresses. I will see East Jordan coming up in a few weeks. A few spots left for that one. Four players to focus on this game being Kalen, Landon, Greyson and Ryan. Here are some images of each of the boys. Saturday was the championship games for the GTSS league I play in. Its tough to play and try and sneak photos of the game at the same time so forgive me as coverage was not great but I wanted to grab some shots of my teammates and the other team as well. The ones I am in my dad grabbed with his camera. This is a fun league full of a great people to play with and against. I am looking forward to next season already. 5 players covered in the Snowbirds commanding victory over Pellston last night. These boys only play about half the game as the second half started out with a running clock and basically the JV squad taking over still putting up 18 points ( I think). Plenty of action from these players made it manageable though. I am fairly certain the Snowbirds will see several running clocks this season as they are a powerhouse in the conference along with Inland lakes probably Pickford as well. We are only in the first week but I feel confident is saying these are most likely my favorite uniforms I will see this season. Tonight I am off to Charlevoix for what should be a great game has the Rayders hose the Red Devils to open the season. Looking forward to seeing both teams and have East Jordan coming up twice on the schedule this season.

Stopped by practice to drop off banners and found myself deep in a V/JV scrimmage. Intense. Shout out to JV on the win and bragging rights!
