Talan reached out to me planning to propose in the Smokies and wanted to book an engagement session afterwards on the next day. It was SO cold. Like actually freezing. The kind where your hands stop working halfway through 😂
But the mountains had snow on them in the distance and it was so beautiful.
They came in from Virginia and absolutely handled the cold better than I did. And y’all already know… I’m a sucker for good neutrals and they nailed it.

Winter sessions don’t get enough credit. It’s quiet. It’s simple. And when the mountains show off like that, it’s worth every second of not feeling your fingers 🤍

We’re heading into the holidays, and while the lights and laughter begin to fill the air, many families in Sevier County are quietly struggling just to get by. Food prices are up, the cost of living is higher than ever, and because of the government shutdown, those who rely on food stamps will receive no assistance this November, the month of Thanksgiving.

If you can spare even $1 or $5, your donation will go directly to the Sevier County Food Ministry, helping local families put food on their tables this holiday season.

For those who visit and love the Smokies this is your chance to give back to the people who make your trips special. The servers who bring your meals, the housekeepers who tidy your cabins, the cashiers who greet you at Tanger, the locals who keep this town running….they’re the ones who need a little help right now.
