I used to borrow my dad’s 35mm film camera (which I still have today!) and go on photo adventures. As I got older, I wanted everything to do with photography! I was the photographer for the video yearbook and my friend and I co-founded a photography club! That seems like a lifeti

me ago. My first client was my younger brother. He wanted me to take his senior photos- and I obliged. Then it only grew! More and more people asking for photos and I even shot my first wedding that year (2011). Fast forward 12 years and several hundred weddings later... here I am- still doing what I love the most! I am always learning and growing and trying to keep it interesting. I am a mom to an 8 year old sweet little boy. I am a wife to an amazing chef who has done amazing things in his career! (And I also get to take photos of amazing food dishes which is so fun!)

Not to toot my own horn but extended family sessions are kind of my thing 😂 I do so many of them every week that wrangling big families, keeping things moving and making sure we get all the different groupings is honestly just second nature to me at this point!

I genuinely love getting to see families come together from all over to spend quality time together here in the Smokies. Everyone being in the same place at the same time doesn’t happen often, especially as families grow and spread out, and there’s just something really special about getting to capture that.

You’re already getting the vacation, the quality time AND everyone together in one place… taking a little bit of that time to get family portraits made is just the icing on the cake. They’re seriously one of the best souvenirs you can take home with you, and the session itself becomes part of the memories from the trip. Long after the vacation is over, you’ll still have those photos and all the memories attached to them ❤️

Okay, I know… I’ve been terrible about posting lately. 😂 I’m just a girl over here trying to juggle all the hats.

Truthfully, life’s been a little heavy behind the scenes, so I had to take a step back from a few things that weren’t as important. I needed to lighten my mental load so I could keep showing up for my clients and giving them the experience they deserve. Social media was one of the first things to go.

Anyway… enough about me. 🥹 Please enjoy this sweet proposal! These two were an absolute joy to photograph. I loved their vibe from the second we met, and you can just feel how special their love is. So excited for them! ✨💍

A few from this extended family session 💛
Not gonna lie- this was challenging. I know all of the locations I use like the back of my hand- down to the minute of the sun changing in each season. But a last minute request from this family had me pivoting to a location I had never shot at before and the sun did NOT set where I needed it to. Nothing like a little challenge to keep me on my toes and I think they turned out so cute! 🥰

One of my favorite things to capture is when families who don’t get to see each other often come together. Life gets busy, so those moments spent laughing, catching up, and making memories are extra special. Extended family sessions will always have a special place in my heart. 🫶🏻

One of my favorite things about this job is getting to watch people’s lives change over the years.

I first met Charity and Nate when they were engaged. Since then, I’ve photographed their wedding, met two sweet little girls, and now they’re getting ready to welcome baby number three.

Don’t get me wrong…love every session I get to photograph. But there’s just something different about seeing the same families year after year. You go from being the person who took their engagement photos to getting a front-row seat to so many of their biggest milestones.

It’s hard to put into words how much that means to me. Being trusted to document these moments and watch families grow is hands down the most rewarding part of what I do.

So thank you from the absolute bottom of my heart for letting me have this front row seat to your beautiful stories.
