oday is the very first man I’ve had in my life my fatherRandy Allan Mahowich it’s his birthday so please let’s overflow the comments and wish him a very happy birthday. y is a very special day because it’s the birthday of the very first man I ever loved—my loving father, Randy Allan Mahowich. ❤️in a household full of just girls five to be exact no boys this man had gone through more than he could handle, us girls gave him headaches I’m sure that for the most part was unintentional. But he still loved each and everyone of us unconditionally .

Please help me overflow the comments with love and birthday wishes for my Pop! 🎂🎉 He deserves all the love in the world today and always.

Happy Birthday, Pop! 🥳💜 I miss you more than words can say and hope you have the most amazing, beautiful, and special birthday. I hope your day is filled with happiness, love, laughter, and everything that makes you smile.

Love you to bits and always will. 💜🩷
Happy Birthday, Dad! ❤️🎂🎈74 looks good on you dad 💜🩷

To my family my children and my grandchildren and friends I will miss you all tremendously, it hurts to have to leave, but I have important things to tend to back home. It’s been surreal and an emotional journey but I am so thankful and grateful to have been able to make the journey back home to try to spend time with as many of you as we could. I love each and every one of you you will all be truly missed

Well, darlings... Remember when we said this week's rainfall was historic?

Yeah. Apparently Mama Nature heard us and said, "Hold my beer." Because preliminary numbers out of eastern Indiana are absolutely bonkers.

NEW CASTLE: 11.24" of rain in roughly 48 hours
MUNCIE: 8.10"

For a little perspective on just how ridiculous those numbers are, the rainfall threshold shown for a 1-in-1,000-year event is approximately 8.38" in New Castle and 8.09" in Muncie.

New Castle didn't just cross that threshold, it pretty much grabbed it by the hand, dragged it behind the woodshed, and beat it with a garden hose.

And before somebody inevitably wanders into the comments saying, "Well, I don't remember it raining like this 1,000 years ago..."

Bless your heart.

A "1-in-1,000-year" rainfall does NOT mean this only happens once every thousand years. It's a statistical way of describing an event with roughly a 0.1% chance of being equaled or exceeded in any given year based on available precipitation-frequency data.

You can technically have two "1,000-year" events relatively close together because statistics are fun like that.

ison for every single town.

Now for our "favorite" part: IT'S STILL RAINING!

Yep.

After parts of Indiana received rainfall amounts that would already qualify as extraordinary to historic, another round of rain is currently adding insult to injury across portions of the state.

At this point the ground isn't just saturated, it's completely resigned because the soil has reached its emotional limit, drainage ditches are questioning their career choices, the creeks have unionized, and, somewhere, a mosquito is looking at all this newly available waterfront property and putting a down payment on a condo.

So we're going to beat this particular dead horse until it files a restraining order:

DO. NOT. DRIVE. THROUGH. FLOOD WATER.

We don't care if you drive that road every day or if the water "doesn't look very deep." Nor do we care if you've got four-wheel drive, all-wheel drive, six-wheel drive, or the confidence of one of those dumpster diving "Influencers" hiding out behind Target the night before trash day.

TURN AROUND. DON'T DROWN.

The bottom line is that Indiana has taken one heck of an atmospheric beating this week, and unfortunately Mama Nature is apparently still standing over us asking if we've had enough.

Yes, ma'am, WE HAVE.

Please collect your derecho, your biblical rain machine, your flash flooding, your rowdy spinny bois, and the rest of your raggedy belongings and kindly see yourself out.

We're ready for fall and have never wanted boring weather so badly in our lives.

As always, darlings...
Stay Aware. Stay Safe. And Don't Get Twisted.

Made it to practice today with Rob Garfield at the Renasant Convention Center in Memphis. As they say in archery, I think I’ve got the “purple people eater” dialed in and ready to make me proud. Also it’s not the bow, it’s the shooter 😂

We went to Bass Pro and I took some photos as we drove of some pretty cool and very amazing views. Thank you Nick with CAM for taking our photo this morning!
