FB Summer Rec!! ⚾️ 🥎 ⛳️ 🤸
Our schedule is a little different this year due to a vacation that we are on, but here’s the info you’ll need to add to your schedule:

June 8th: gymnastics/Cheer (we will be set up in the commons towards the end of the first session thru the beginning of the last session)
June 10th : tball, mites and midgets, ponies and bantams, set up at the sports complex in our white tent, photos will be during their practice
June 11th: Peewees and Cadets, same info as above
June 16th: golf in the clubhouse

Kids will receive order forms at practice which also lists the schedule, as well as the online ordering link.

Please return the order forms with your kids on photo day OR leave in the school office the next day if you forget. We kindly ask that you either fill out an order form or order online, do not text/message your order as there’s a good chance I will completely forget 🤦🏼‍♀️

The last senior session post for our own senior, Willow! We did these pictures last week so that we could finish up her album for her grad party! When your kids are little and people tell you "The years will go by so fast!", they aren't joking!

The question of the year has been "What school is she going to next year?"
Here's the deal... Willow has no solid plans to go to college, but here's the plans she does have:
-Go on a road trip this summer
-Continue her business, Ivory & Sage which has been extremely successful since she was 14 thanks to Boyd Huppert's Land of 10,000 Stories and nationwide news stories following, with her mugs being sold in over 400 stores across the Midwest, including SCHEELS.
-Write and illustrate children's books (she is almost done with her first one)
-Possibly buy investment properties
-Travel the world

Other things she's mentioned:
starting an event floral business, culinary school, cosmetology school, modeling, playing drums in a band. She has ADHD which has made school not a great experience, but ADHD is also the reason why she has so many talents and interests. We are so proud of her and can't wait to see what her future holds!

Willow's winter session! We could tell the night before that we'd wake up to frosty trees, so Willow quick put together an outfit to wear. We took about 30 minutes total and got some pretty pictures to include in her album!

Willow's Duluth/North Shore session!
When our kids were little we camped almost every summer at Split Rock Light House State Park, so when she was deciding where she wanted pictures taken she asked if we could go there. I ended up scheduling some family mini sessions at the same location to kind of cover our costs for hotel and gas. Just our two daughters and I went on this trip and we had such a fun time. Somehow we got upgraded to a suite in Canal park and it was gigantic. We spent the first evening around Canal Park doing nighttime photos, then the next day we took a road trip up the north shore, stopping at a roadside scenic view, Russ Kendall's Fish Market, Two Harbors. We planned to do pictures at Gooseberry Falls but the traffic/parking that day was horrendous so we skipped that and went straight to Split Rock.
Willow finished her pictures in the water... yes, in Lake Superior in Mid/Late October when the water was about 40 degrees, and she barely flinched.

Willow // Fall session
We wanted to do fall photos of Willow as well. Does any senior need this many sessions? Absolutely not. But... when you're a photographer and you have a kid who loves to plan outfits and be photographed, why not?!
We knew she already had a lot of nice portraits to use for our wall, for gifts to family, and for the yearbook, so she went more artistic with these and with the outfits. We started in the Sandhills with nice fall color, then she wanted to wear my dad's jacket for some so we stopped by their house and she got the jacket (complete with shotgun shells and peanuts still in the pockets) and we did some downtown. We finished the session with the coolest, foggy sunset by Terry's aunt's home. Willow and Margaret are kindred spirits, so it was fitting. She loves snakes and just happened to find a red belly snake, so we got a picture with it as well. Finally, last pictures of the night with Margaret's horse Charley who escapes on a regular basis and comes to our house.

I tried to share these last night but I guess they didn't load!
This is another part of Willow's senior sessions... all pictures taken in our studio, around our home and at my parent's home. All things that are sentimental to her, whether it be a location, her purse collection, or her favorite pets. Sadly this spring her favorite cat (the one where she's laughing) passed away, so those pictures are extra meaningful to her now.
