We have the remaining inventory of our California photographers' guide book "Photographing California Vol. 2 - South" available! Award-winning landscape photographer, astrophotographer and workshop instructor Jeff Sullivan has been exploring the American West for four decades. His 320-page guidebook, "Photographing California Vol. 2 - South" guides you to 300+ locations in California from Yosemite

to San Diego. Using the proceeds from the sale of this book to fund explorations to create more regional guides, he's on a mission to help you discover "the best of the West".

Lori and I went out for a few days of spring landscape and night photography in Nevada earlier this week. Temperatures were moderate, and the weather was amenable to both night and daylight photography. Practically no one else was out. We might have to make this an annual outing!

A few photos from our annual spring landscape photography workshop in Death Valley last week. The media is calling this a super bloom... It's not as good as 2016 in many places but there are more or different wildflowers in others, so whatever you prefer to call it, it has been a good year to visit Death Valley! https://www.jeffsullivanphotography.com/2026/03/12/2026-death-valley-super-bloom-so-far/
Lori Hibbett and I will be showing photographers around the park in December's warm, low angle winter light. This year we'll also enjoy particularly favorable conditions for capturing the Geminid Meteor shower! https://www.jeffsullivanphotography.com/death-valley-winter-light/

Brown-eyed primrose in Death Valley National Park February 2016. This canyon was coated with plants again when Lori Hibbett and I revisited this spot last month, though they hadn't started blooming yet. If you have my Photographing California guide book (Vol. 2 - South), this canyon is described on pages 113-114. A hint for everyone else: that Jeep trail over the mountain in the background is a dead giveaway if you've been up and/or photographed this canyon before. We can't wait to return to the park in a couple of weeks!
