Looking for a little girl who wears size 3t. I have the dress. You will need pink or gold shoes, and I'll need to approve before the session.

A little moment happened recently that’s been sitting with me.
One of my couples told me that one of their favorite images from their engagement session was taken by my 10-year-old. I didn’t expect that — but it meant everything.

Photography has always been about more than the photos for me. It’s about trust, presence, and learning how to care for people in meaningful moments. Because of that, I’ve decided to bring him along this past October to quietly assist and learn at his very first wedding. Watching him experience what it means to tell someone else’s story has been incredibly special.

Now he’s asking when he gets to do it again.
And it made me wonder — how would you feel about a young, closely supervised helper joining me for a wedding or a regular session? No expectations, no pressure — just curiosity and conversation. I’d truly love to hear your thoughts.

If you’ve ever worked with me, you probably already know I’ll say something a little weird just to get a real laugh out of you. I don’t mind the perfectly posed wedding photos—but I love these moments. The candid ones. The ones where the couple finally relaxes and lets their guard down.

Weddings are fun, but they’re also a lot of work. There’s so much planning, stress, and anticipation leading up to the big day. Once the ceremony is over and you’re officially married to your best friend, it’s like a weight has been lifted off your shoulders. That’s when the real magic happens.

As a wedding photographer, those just-married moments are my favorite to capture—when you can breathe, laugh, and just be yourselves. No pressure. No posing. Just genuine connection, real emotion, and a little joy after a long, meaningful day. And honestly? Those are the photos you’ll treasure forever.
