How many photos does a listing need?

Enough to show the property properly.

Some homes can be completely covered in 20 images. Others need 38. A home with multiple living spaces, extensive landscaping, a finished basement, outbuildings, or unique features may genuinely need 70 or more.

That’s why our photography packages aren’t built around strict image counts.

Imagine ordering 25 photos and then discovering the photographer captured another angle of the primary bath you would rather use—but it wasn’t one of the 25 selected for editing. Now you have to upgrade your package or pay extra just to see it.

We’d rather avoid that entire conversation.

We photograph the home, capture the angles and features needed to tell its story, and deliver the finished images. Then the agent can decide which ones belong in the listing, on social media, in print, or wherever else they’re marketing the property.

Square footage helps us plan the appointment.

It doesn’t tell us how many photos your listing deserves.

You don't get a second chance at the first photo. 📸

Before a buyer reads the description…
Before they check the square footage…
Before they notice the updates…

They see the photos.

And in a feed full of listings, sometimes you have about five seconds to convince them this one is worth a closer look.

The goal isn't just to show the house. It's to make someone want to see more.

Shots that sell... in five seconds.

Shots That Sell… in about five seconds. 📸

That’s about how long you have to make someone stop scrolling and take a closer look at a listing.

Great real estate photography isn’t just about showing buyers what a home looks like. It’s about finding the angles, details and spaces that make someone stop and think…

“Wait. I want to see more of this one.”

Every listing has something worth stopping for.

Our job is to find it.

Behind the scenes of real estate photography…

Sometimes we adjust a chair.

Sometimes we straighten a pillow.

Sometimes we move a trash can.

And sometimes we find ourselves picking somebody's jeans up off the primary bathroom floor. 😂

And no… there weren't any teenagers living here.

Just another glamorous day making Kansas City homes look their best. 📸

Some houses don't need to be reinvented.

Built in 1982, this custom home has held onto a lot of what made it special in the first place... beautiful woodwork, substantial trim, exposed beams, stone, custom cabinetry and rooms with actual character.

And we loved photographing it.

Not every home needs to look brand new to look great in photos. Sometimes our job is simply to show off what was already done right.

Nearly 45 years later, this one still photographs beautifully. 📸

Every listing is your next listing interview.

Future sellers aren't just looking at the house you're marketing. They're looking at how you're marketing it.

The photography.
The floor plan.
The drone shots.
The video.
The property website.
The entire presentation.

Because when a potential seller sees one of your listings, they're quietly asking:

"How would this agent market my home?"

A great listing doesn't just help sell one house.

It can help win the next one.

Sometimes a place to live should be a place to LIVE.

A workshop. A garage with room for the toys. Space for the bikes, the tools, the projects, the garden—and whatever hobby has somehow taken over half your weekends. 😁

We photograph a lot of beautiful homes, but some of our favorites are the ones that tell you something about the people who live there.

This one does.

Because a home isn't just kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms. It's where you get to make room for the things you actually love doing.

And those are some of our favorite stories to photograph. 📸

A little real estate photography lesson for aspiring photographers…

CLOSE. THE. TOILET. LID. 😂

And while you're there, move the roll of toilet paper off the tank.

Those two things take about three seconds.

But there's a bigger lesson in these photos.

Professional real estate photography isn't just about getting a bright, properly exposed image. Before you press the shutter:

📐 Keep the camera level. Vertical lines should be vertical.

📷 Think about camera height. Pointing the camera noticeably up or down creates distortion and often gives you way too much ceiling or floor.

🏠 Compose the room, not just everything you can possibly fit into the frame.

🚽 In bathrooms, don't make the toilet the star of the show. Look for an angle that emphasizes the features buyers actually care about.

👀 Scan the room before every shot. Toilet lids, toilet paper, trash cans, cords, bottles, crooked blinds, little distractions become surprisingly obvious in a photograph.

A lot of the difference between an average real estate photo and a professional one happens before the shutter button is ever pressed.

Slow down. Look around. Level the camera. Compose intentionally.

And, seriously…

CLOSE THE TOILET LID. 😂
