This year all of the Southern California waterfalls are flowing. Not just kind of flowing, but in full force. There's probably over a dozen of trailheads within a 60-90 minute drive. If you're close by you should definitely check them out.

Last weekend I went out to Escondido Falls in Malibu. The hike was short and the reward was full. An amazing time spent with Sam Masyr. The waterfall was just the icing on the cake.

During the long President's Day Weekend I decided to rent a car. Didn't really have any plans other than when I was leaving and when I had to return. Here's one of the favorite shots I got during that trip. I ended up spending most of my time out in Moab, UT where I met with Tara Lynn Miller and Michael Knittel.

This shot was taken at the visitor center at Dead Horse Point State Park. I got quite excited when I got out of the car and saw this sight mainly because of the dry desert in the foreground and the snowy mountains in the background. Such a great contrast of environment and life.
