Just got my first ever film scans back from this new tiny little pocket sized point and shoot film camera and I’m kind of obsessed with it!!

I honestly didn’t know what to expect. It’s one of those cameras that’s so small you can literally throw it in your pocket and forget it’s even there, which is exactly why I wanted it 🥹

I’ve been shooting with my Leica M3 for a while now, but there’s something really fun about having a camera that requires absolutely no thought. No changing lenses, no overthinking settings, just pull it out, take the photo, and keep going

And looking through these scans for the first time was such a nice surprise. They’re not perfect, and that’s kind of the point. There’s something about the little imperfections, the colors that makes them feel so much more memorable.

Definitely going to be carrying this thing around everywhere now!!

Okay, I forgot how much I love shooting at Victoria Beach!!

I haven’t been here in a while because the tides have been ridiculously high lately, and it’s hard to do much when half the beach is underwater.

But we finally caught a good tide and I had to bring a couple back here 🥹

If you want a beautiful sunset beach photoshoot, there’s nothing better than here!!

My favorite thing about visiting photo spots is exploring and finding new angles and compositions that you don’t normally see!!

Breaking the norm a little 🥹 if my clients are down to hop on the railing and lay flat for a photo, it’s sooo worth it!

Of course we’ll get the must have shots at the iconic spots, but I’m always looking for ways to make them feel a little different.

Maybe it’s changing the pose, finding a unique angle, or playing with the lighting for a moody vibe?

Idk, I’m just rambling my thoughts but I’m so happy with how these came out !!

There are days when I have to remind myself this is my job 🥹🥹One weekend I’m photographing a wedding at San Francisco City Hall, the next I’m in Santa Barbara watching the sunset over the coast. I’ll never get over how much California has to offer. There are still so many places left to explore, so many stories left to tell, and I’m constantly reminded of just how beautiful our state is!!

Remember how I said that I love experimenting and exploring new compositions? Well, as if SF City Hall didn’t already have an ungodly amount of photo spots, we stumbled upon some red curtains covering a utility worker area. I thought “wouldn’t a photo at these curtains be cute?” And OMG WAS I RIGHT !!

When one of my childhood friends asked if I’d be down to fly out to Oahu to capture his proposal, there wasn’t even a second thought. I couldn’t have been more excited.

These kinds of missions are honestly one of my favorite parts of the job. Flying across the ocean, scouting the perfect spot, coordinating everything behind the scenes, and then hiding in a bush hoping they don’t spot us before the big moment. It’s the adventure that makes every proposal so much fun, and getting to document such an important milestone is always the cherry on top.

One thing I always tell my couples is that I’m constantly looking for moments before they exist!!

When I saw the lights around the cottage turning on, I immediately pictured them stepping away from the reception for one quiet dance together. It ended up being one of my favorites of the wedding day 🥹

Growing up in California, you get used to the beaches and cliffs so much that you start to overlook how special they really are. Crystal Cove sunsets always reset that for me. That’s one of the reasons why I ALWAYS stop to enjoy the sunset whenever I get the chance 🥹
