“We’re going to need a lot of direction.”

Corrine and Alen said it too.
The funny thing is most people aren’t actually bad at photos. They’ve just never had someone show them where to stand, what to do with their hands, or how to use the space around them.

For sessions like this we leaned a little more editorial. Slower pacing, intentional poses, using the architecture of the building to frame them.
Five minutes in, the nerves usually disappear.
After that it just becomes two people hanging out together while I quietly adjust things so the light and the lines fall into place.
