Dear reader,
I am one of the many great admins of Midnight City Studios. I come to you today not to sell myself, or Midnight City - but to let you know that you have a choice.
I'm sure you're all content with using Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and other popular corporate social media websites. They offer so many features and have the framework and community built around them to stand on their own two legs. But I'm sure you're also aware of Facebooks rampant decline in report accuracy and overbearing censorship, YouTubes constant algorithmic control deciding whose content deserves to get seen, along with a multitude of anti-creator implementations, and Twitters overwhelming political influence and being known as the 'platform of toxicity.' These sites are greedy, corporate controlled, soulless platforms whose only goal is to control what you see using advertisements, algorithms, and data selling.
After reading this, I'm sure you're asking yourself - where can I find a platform with less censorship that promotes free speech and true community collaboration? Where can I find a platform where I can freely promote myself and find new talent without having to rely on an algorithm? Where can I find a platform where politically-biased individuals and broken, automated censorship will never take a hold on the content I post? And lastly, where can I find a community that removes the overall toxicity and political banter, without having to censor what I believe in, while also fighting against hate, injustice and genuine false information?
Midnight City is that platform. Not only do we offer a non-judgemental environment where you are free to promote and share your own content, we also plan to add many features present on other sites, such as a news feed where you can see everyone's content and keep up with your friends, the ability to truly customize your profile unlike any other website online, and a forums page for users to create topics of any kind and discuss amongst each other, without the fear of it being shut down just because of political bias.
You can also upload photos, videos, audios and files that showcase your brand and your content directly to your profile, read blogs and reviews written by both Midnight City staff and your fellow users, watch hours of independent short films, feature productions and music videos, listen to hours of music, podcasts and more, and even submit your own content to be featured by Midnight City Studios, with features changing weekly to monthly. There's always something new on the go here at Midnight City!
We are tired of soulless corporate media controlling every aspect of what we see. We are tired of seeing our future stolen from us - a future of not only freedom, but creativity, free speech, and community. This is THE social media platform that truly supports you - NO needless censorship, NO restrictive algorithms, NO invasive advertising, NO stance against anonymity, and NO corrupt moderation. This platform is for all ages - not just older folks, but adults and teens as well. We want you to use the social media platform that you've always dreamed of. And I'm not just talking about regular users - we want artists, photographers, models, filmmakers, actors, video game developers, musicians, influencers, content creators, streamers, writers, etc. We want everyone to come to our platform.
We will always be upfront, transparent and honest with you. We'll never sit in a board room discussing policies behind your back, and we'll never hide updates behind months of BS 'optimization' copypaste corporate jargon. We want you to be free. Speaking of free, our services will ALWAYS be FREE! No premium memberships, no subscription services, no paid features, no begging you for donations - we've had enough of that bu****it. If you want to support us, it is completely and entirely up to you.
