Congratulations to this adorable couple on they’re big announcement! I loved doing this pregnancy announcement shoot. Even though it started to freezing rain on us, the pictures turned out so cute!

Still drooling over this maternity shoot I did for my aunt and uncle in August. The colors, the lighting, and the love radiating is just so dreamy!

This shoot was part of the reason I changed my name, focus, and got back into my photography. I used to photograph whatever came my way. But after this shoot it hit me. I love photographing families, kids, and now maternity. I needed a focus and I’ve found it! Thank you Aunt LeeAnne for letting me capture these memories!

Hello! I'm Apryl, Apryl Rena and this is my new photography page! My last page somehow disappeared so I guess that means we are starting fresh and new which is fine!

Rena is my middle name- pronounced with a short e and long a. I am a full time first grade teacher located in Lansing, MI. I have always been passionate about photography and it has become my side gig along with teaching:)

My focus is maternity, newborn, families, and kids. I have always loved being around kids (hence teacher status). I'm a very natural photographer. I'm not all about that tilt your head this way and that posing nonsense. I love to capture the raw moments that you may not think about. The moment of pure joy as a child spins in circles or a newborn sneezes mid picture. Capturing those small moments is what I love to do and is 9 times out of 10 my clients favorite photos.

In need of updated family pictures? Need pictures of your child who is growing up way to fast? Are you pregnant and looking to capture that radiant glow, or announce it to the world? I'm booking now for the end of October-November!
