Good morning everyone, John here

2026 has been rather busy out of the gate, and pulling 12-18 hours over time each week at the day job has been leaving me a tad burnt out. Working through a large wedding album for a friend is keeping my creativeness going during the con lull, but with everything going on it's been a tad bit of a struggle to be motivated to do much after coming home after work.

I'll be doing the hall shot raffle later this evening if all goes well today, or at least sometime this week.

I'm also going to make it a point this year to /not/ cover cosplay contests this year. As much as I enjoy capturing all of my friends and everyone else's entries, they're about as much if not more than my usual con albums and that's just more time out of working on the paid shoots and gigs.

Oni Con albums will also be posted this week, and then we'll be moving on to Anime Frontier later this month - which I'm oddly still waiting on picks for a few albums.

Good morning everyone, John here!

A quick update before the big freeze this weekend:

For those wondering where I've been - after the Christmas break it seems all the other admins at the day job had gotten sick, so I've been the only one managing the office after the year rolled over. Some are still out, but at least now half the others have returned and I've been working on photos, etc. since Wednesday last week.

That all being said, I'm going to be extending the contest a bit longer to compensate for the freeze possibly taking out power (again XD).

Good afternoon everyone, John here again!

First full week of 2026 and life is already pulling out the fun stops XD

Most of the admins at work are out sick to kick the week off here which leaves me being at the only one at the office to manage things day to day. It does leave the office a bit quieter but there's a lot of accounting, etc. tasks that need to be handled so I won't be picking up the camera for a week or two at least.

That being said, editing has started up again, though not as prevalent as last year. I'm focusing a bit more on exercising after work so doing walks and calisthenics each day before I take a seat at the computer, but I've been getting one photo set edited a night so we're off to a good start at least.

The Hall Shot Tagging contest has kicked off about a week ago and my inbox is starting to fill in with a lot of likes and comments! First off, thank you! I'm glad I'd decided to get the last few Hall Shot albums out for Christmas. :) For those wanting to check out the contest, you can check out https://wwww.wolfsink.com/tags2025 for more info!

Paid shoot album posting will start back up by this weekend, though I'll likely do an album dump first to get things back on track.

As for the current con schedule - no I won't be attending Ikki-con this weekend though I'm not gonna lie - that FOMO is starting to build up lol. Gotta protect myself from getting buried when I already have three events this month (possibly 4?). I'll likely be starting things off with Nostalgia Con later in April, but I think there was a con in February I was interested in checking out. We shall see.
