Super excited to share photos from a recent session of mine that was published in a magazine!

The star of the session happened to be none other than my beautiful sister and her wonderful family. My sister and her family have been my muse for quite some time so I was super excited to have this magazine reach out to me and ask me to take the photos for their publication. Two of these photos were sent and published in the magazine, and the rest were taken outside of the requested session. These kids always keep me on my toes with their quirky personalities so its always hard to put my camera down when they get going. I love being an Aunt, but more than anything I am proud of my sister and the beautiful family that she and her husband created.

Approximately 400 days ago, I shot these two lovebirds during a family photo session. I'll have them in front of my camera again soon as they tie the knot, and I could not be any more excited for them!

Flipping through some old images and I rediscovered this shot I took of Gruene Hall, taken at sunrise before traffic picked up a few months ago. I decided to use some photoshop magic to remove the distracting power lines and barricades, so the Hall can stand in her full glory with the water tower behind her.

I love the end result so much more! What are your thoughts?

My work got published on the cover (and some more on page 24) for the December issue for a local magazine, NBTX City Lifestyle.

Just getting back in from Texas Renaissance Festival this past weekend. Solar Rain put on a fantastic show as usual. Their performance is easily my favorite part of Ren Faire every year so I was excited to be able to bring along my new telephoto lens to get much closer to the action this year. Wedding Day!

Hello, Adventurers!

This is an update to let everyone know about, well, what’s going on over here at The Adventuring Lens. I have been planning mine and Jason’s Wedding for the past few months - and it’s coming up pretty quick! Between that and getting caught up on recent clients, a lot of my free time has been eaten up. (See attached picture for unintended pun.) At this point, I am definitely still accepting clients, but not until after October 15.

I’ve got a few irons in the fire and a few ideas I want to shoot, so I’ll be putting together some model calls as well at that point.

In the meantime, please enjoy this action shot of a grey wolf. I visited the Snake Farm lately with Jason and my bonus daughter, Raelyn.
