There are infinite ways to personalize your wedding day look. One of my favorites to see is incorporating your heritage into your personal details.

Yulia included items that represent her Russian heritage including a colorful floral shawl (her mother also had a shawl on hand), and a beaded headdress, plus red as a wedding color.

Look into your family history to see if anything speaks to you. Ask your family members about the small details they brought into their own days for inspiration.

Downtown sessions at sunrise have a lot of pros, one of them being less traffic and people.

This shot is difficult at other times of day because I have to stand in the middle of an intersection to get it, and there are usually a lot of cars in the road.

But valet at the Tremont is quiet in the morning which means less cars and people in the background, and most of the shops in town won't be open for a few hours so traffic is light.

If you're wanting a quieter, more relaxed session downtown, I highly suggest considering early morning to feel like you have it all to yourselves!

These two crazy kids are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary! 🎉

Their kids and grandkids gathered to celebrate over a Galveston vacation.

These are the kinds of experiences their grandkids will talk about with their own families a generation from now, with the photos to show it. That's legacy.

A sweet proposal that had me dressed in coveralls pretending to be a cleaning lady. And that was only the first surprise!

Jackson called me with a plan to propose to his girlfriend Rachael that involved me pretending to be a cleaning lady, and we pulled it off!

Many of you know the 1877 Tall Ship Elissa is currently in New York City to celebrate America's 250th birthday. But, did you know you can get married on the Elissa?!!

This would be a very unique and memorable location for an elopement or small wedding. This shipped is steeped in history and still making its mark on Galveston and the United States.

As a Navy vet with a love for sailing ships, I would only be elated to photograph you getting married on this gem. The photos we could make would be *chefs kiss* amazing! 😍

Veneriza and Jackson had beautiful bayside wedding this past Sunday.

Galveston holds a special place in their hearts as it's where they were the moment they fell in love. When it came time to plan their wedding, they knew it had to be here.

Their wedding was big on personality. They included what they loved (personal vows) and left out what they didn't (looking at you garter toss).

Thanks to an incredible team of vendors, they got to marinate in every moment together and with their families without rushing through interactions.

And ohhhhh that sunset! 😍
