The light this evening was just so dreamy! A bit chilly, but honestly, what beautiful diffused light (yes, I'm geeking out to the sun being hidden behind the clouds!) In all honesty - Sheri & Nick's smile just goes to show you that when you embrace every moment, and don't let the little things bother you (Like this weather!) you can truly enjoy the moment that you are in! And enjoy they did! Sheri & Nick, CONGRATULATIONS! I am so happy for you and I wish you the very best of love and success in your future together! ❤

What I love SO much about when the weather gets nicer outside, is that the Spring proposals pop up! Tonight, I photographed Nick proposing to his girlfriend (now Fiancée), Sheri! Congratulations to the two of you! This was such a fun proposal, because Sheri SCREAMED with excitement! And the entire party waiting for them at Maynards heard it from across the street! (What a fun memory!)

My instructions were:
-Do a beer spray
-Don't get yourself wet

You could see the defeat in his eyes lol, the way he held his hands out like he did something wrong. Let me tell you... today was in the 80's, and that wet suit dried up mighty fast...... and this was the most amazing thing I've ever seen. Kudos to you, sir. You just made one of the best wedding memories, and I guarantee this will be a story everyone tells their kids.

When I say I enjoy what I do, and I love weddings, here are some photos of what I mean. There is a huge part of the wedding day, that really MAKE the wedding, and that's the wedding party! Sometimes they listen, sometimes they don't. Sometimes they laugh too much and make weird jokes. But when you put a bunch of different people into one space, you're going to get different personalities and quite honestly, it's fantastic. I may come off as pushy, or bossy, but I am really just trying to get you and all of your wedding party to cocktail hour, to enjoy the party. I really do my best to have fun with everyone, and sometimes that looks like I am being super strict, but I am enjoying the crap out of this whole experience, and I hope you all did too! What an amazing group of people you have chosen to surround yourselves with, Shelby & Joe! Even though some of them are a little bit crazier than others, you picked the right people to stand by your side!

Shelby & Joe, you two are so happily in love, and I'm here for it! The way you both interact shows me just how much you care for each other. You are both a breath of fresh air, a reassurance that love grows when you put in the work. Your love for family, and everything I have learned about you two tonight, made me feel like a guest at your wedding. I cried, I laughed, and I truly enjoyed every moment spent with you two, and your entire wedding party, and all of your guests!

Groom Prep needs love too! And Joe, you rocked it! Even though today was HOT for April, you showed up ready to become Shelby's husband. I know we had a lot of fun, but you held yourself with such grace today. You were the perfect Groom! So easy going, happy to get the photos done, and by the time we got to the reception - you were ready to cut loose and have an amazing time! Thank you for being so amazing, so much fun and thank you for allowing me to be a part of this special moment in your life.

Getting ready photos have always been a huge favorite of mine. It's the start of your day, you're surrounded by your favorite people, the people who have been there to support you for as long as you can remember. The people you surrounded yourself to make sure you look your best, to boost your mood and cheer you on. Your family, your chosen sisters, your crew. They're the people who speak highly of you when you aren't in the same room as them, they're the people who adore you, and root for you, because your dreams are their dreams for you!

Shelby had the most beautiful wedding details. Her mothers veil (I have never seen a veil so gorgeous!), her grandmothers necklace, paired with the most delicate kitten heel shoes (that I THOUGHT were vintage)! I am literally obsessed with the whole vibe of Shelby & Joe's wedding! Stunning!
