Okay guys, I’ve gotten a few messages recently since this ridiculous AI law, so I figured instead of answering the same question over and over, I’d just make a post about it….
PLEASE don’t be scared to book with me because of this whole AI thing.
When you book with me, you’ll get a questionnaire along with your booking links. There are a couple questions on there specifically asking if you’re okay with me taking behind the scenes videos during your session to potentially use on my social media / website AND if you’re okay with me using some of your finished photos on my page/website.
And guess what?
It is totally okay to say NO. ❤️
I have LOTS of families who don’t want their images shared at all. I also have families who are okay with me sharing them as long as their little one’s face is blurred or blocked out. (Examples of those types of blocks below)
That is 100% okay with me!
And YES, I can blur faces in videos, too! 🙌🏻
While I technically own the rights to the photos and videos I create, I am also a mom who personally rarely post my own kids, with a kid who does not want to be put on social media without approval first, and I completely understand wanting to protect your babies privacy, and respecting their choices if they’re old enough to decide themselves.
I will NEVER knowingly go against your wishes when it comes to sharing your child’s photos or videos.
Does it sometimes KILL me that some of my favorite photos I’ve EVER taken are ones I can’t share? 😂
Absolutely.
Do I sometimes look at a gallery and think, “UGHHHH this one would be SO GOOD on my page!” and then remember they said no? 😂
Yep.
But at the end of the day…
These are YOUR babies. Not mine. And your right to privacy will ALWAYS be more important than a social media post.
So please don’t let the AI conversation scare you away from booking with me. You have options. You can say yes, you can say no, you can say “yes, but please block their face,”
You are in control of what happens with your family’s images. Always. 🫶🏻
And if you’ve ever wondered why I ask these questions on my questionnaire >>>>
THIS is why. ❤️
I want you to feel safe, respected, and comfortable trusting me with your babies. Because that trust means WAY more to me than having another pretty picture to post. 📸🤍
PUT A ❤️ IN THE COMMENTS IF YOU’VE READ THIS FAR TO BOOST THE POST
