Welcome home USS Virginia! A very rainy, very delayed homecoming, but we got some clear weather and sunshine for the most important parts!

A special thanks to Madison Rupe who tagged along with me to capture some more special moments and different viewpoints! I love our military spouses who give back.

The best time to schedule your maternity session is around 32-36 weeks. By then, you've probably "popped," but maybe still feel up to traipsing around for beautiful photos.

Most mamas book their maternity sessions during the second trimester to set a date, and we'll choose a beautiful location based around the season you're due.

Thank you to all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

While Memorial Day is not here to honor those who have served or our currently serving, I must extend my thanks to those who have taken on the responsibility to serve and defend our country. Many of our servicemembers have not given their lives, but have sacrificed years, special events, milestones away from their families, and their bodies and mental health to serve our country.

So while we are enjoying this Monday off with our friends and family, raise a toast to all those who never came home.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing mamas out there.

This not so little kiddo made me a mama 11 years ago and he has been the second heart beating outside of my body ever since. I am so grateful to be his mama and love him more than anything ever.

My favorite arts and crafts project, if I do say so myself.
