This past Sunday I had the honor and pleasure of photographing a baby sprinkle (shower) as a paid assignment. My fees are very modest compared to full-time pros but, in case clients aren't sure what effort goes into the final product, here are a couple of examples of what goes on behind the scenes. Much of the event took place in a church hallway with poor lighting, necessitating the use of flash. With flash there is inevitable glare. Thanks to Photoshop, I can fix those spots to show those pretty eyes unobstructed. Another issue was little area for clean (non-busy) portraits. The mother daughter portrait was cropped and then the wall decoration and the bowl on the table were cloned out. Ideally, this work, when done well, goes unnoticed, much like major league umpiring.
