as this beautiful young lady gets ready to graduate and head off to VCU this fall, I couldn't be more excited for all that's ahead of her. we spent the evening laughing, joking, and enjoying the most beautiful sun-soaked light. alexa was an absolute joy to photograph - sweet, kind, genuine, and so much fun to be around.

one of the things I loved most about this session was how effortlessly she pulled off every look. the truth is, being in front of a camera isn't easy for most people, but she made it look natural.
..and before I go, thank you all so much for the response to my last post. I have absolutely loved looking through all of the photos from years past and revisiting so many wonderful memories. you guys truly made my evening. ❤️✨

FIFTEEN years of newborn snuggles, growing families, graduating seniors, milestones, memories, and friendships that have become so much more than client relationships. what an incredible blessing this has been 🥹❤️

running a small business is not easy but running a small business in today’s world is really not easy. through it all, God has remained faithful.

every session booked, every referral shared, every kind comment, every family that returned year after year has been a reminder of His provision and grace. I am deeply grateful for each person who has trusted me to preserve their most precious memories. your support has allowed me to do what I love for 15 years, and that is something I never take for granted.

I know all those years ago… God placed this calling on my heart and I am SO thankful every day that He continues to open doors and surround me with incredible clients and friends.

some sessions leave you smiling long after they’re over, and sweet Yusra’s was definitely one of them.

she was an absolute dream in all of her setups, but my favorite moments might have been when she decided sleep was overrated and stayed wide awake just long enough to give us the funniest little expressions. and that smile? pure magic.

big sister was incredible too. So proud, so gentle, and so brave ❤️

there is something so special about being asked to photograph a family again as they grow. seeing familiar faces, meeting a new little blessing, and capturing these moments is never something I take for granted.

today feels especially meaningful, and I find myself reflecting on how grateful I am that God continues to place these beautiful families in my path. what a gift it is to do work that fills my heart, preserves precious memories, and reminds me daily of His goodness.

thank you to this wonderful family for trusting me once again. It was such a joy to see you all ❤️

baby #3 is almost here and I am SO excited for this beautiful family! 🤍 it has been such a blessing watching their family grow ever since Ivy’s maternity session. seeing them again always feels like catching up with old friends. this session was full of laughs, chaos, silliness, and so much love - basically all the things that make family/maternity sessions the best.

I honestly can’t believe how much these sweet kiddos have grown since I first met them. and mama? absolutely stunning as always. ✨

better late than never! I had the pleasure of meeting Luke before he graduated back in April, and we had such a great time exploring downtown Warrenton for his senior session. from the very beginning, I was so impressed with how natural and comfortable he was in front of the camera. I know I say this a lot, but most of my clients - especially the guys... usually need a little time to warm up, but Luke absolutely nailed it from start to finish!

it was also so special finally getting to meet him after knowing his mom for many years. he was kind, confident, respectful, and honestly could probably step into modeling if his future plans ever change haha!

Luke, I truly wish you all the best this life has to offer. never lose who you are, keep reaching for the stars, and always believe in yourself. the future is so bright for you, and I have no doubt you’re going to do amazing things. CONGRATULATIONS again, and thank you for such a fun session!

Tommy was a dream! it was so wonderful seeing this sweet family again and getting to love on another one of their babies. watching families grow over the years is one of the biggest blessings of this job. just like his big sister did for me a couple years ago, Tommy slept SO good through every single setup. ✨
... I wanted to touch on something that has been on my heart lately. I often see people asking for a photographer who “doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.” truthfully… I don’t really know what an arm and a leg costs... however, I DO know what 15 years of trial and error, education, practice, investing, sleepless nights, upgrading equipment, learning lighting, posing newborns safely, editing, running a business, and perfecting my craft has cost me. ❤️

when you hire an experienced photographer, you are not just paying for an hour session. you are paying for years of getting things wrong so I can now get things right.

this past year and a half has honestly been one of the slowest seasons I’ve experienced since I have started this business and I completely understand why. life is unbelievably expensive right now and families are doing the best they can.

to the families who continue to support my small business, budget for my art, recommend me, trust me with your babies, your teenagers and see the value in what I create… thank you from the bottom of my heart. your support means more than you will ever know. I do not take it for granted for one second.

9 days fresh and already so, so loved 💜✨ sweet Emma was absolutely awesome for her newborn session, and it was such a joy seeing this wonderful family again.

can we talk about big brother for a second?! just two years old, I was so proud of how brave and sweet he was laying beside his baby sister. most toddlers his age won’t even go near the new baby, but he did amazing and already loves her so much 🥹

I am beyond excited to document this pretty little lady’s first year of life and watch her grow every three months.

also… i thought mama absolutely nailed the colors for this session. The soft greens mixed with the purples and lavenders were dreamy 🌿💜

now that graduation season is finally over us, I can start catching up on sharing all of the amazing sessions I’ve had over the past 6 weeks! to everyone waiting patiently for sneak peeks and posts... thank you. 💛

I’ve learned over the years that while I absolutely love what I do, my family has to come first, and social media can’t always be the priority I once made it. life has a way of reminding me when I need to slow down a little… and after having shingles THREE times, I know when stress starts creeping in that it’s time to chill out for a minute. 😂

that being said, I am SO excited to finally share this beautiful girl’s session! she was an absolute joy to photograph.. kind, beautiful, smart, and so full of hope and drive for her future. you can just tell she is going to do incredible things in this world, and I truly wish her nothing but happiness and success in all that’s ahead.

tomorrow Dominic graduates high school. i took these photos last week and it felt almost surreal. i can't believe we are here. it all has gone so fast. what started as a photo session quickly turned into one of my favorite memories with him. seeing him so relaxed, confident, and completely himself in front of my lens made me emotional in the best way.

Dear Dominic,

I know I’m biased, but you are truly one of the most incredible souls God ever created - not just on the outside, but deep within your heart. you are kind, caring, mature, smart, handsome, driven, confident, and full of purpose. at only 18 years old, you carry yourself with such strength and grace. I am constantly in awe of the young man you have become. there have been so many moments in your life where I’ve stopped and thought, “how are you this wise already?” sometimes I truly feel like you have taught me more than I could have ever taught you. watching you grow into the man you are today has been one of the greatest honors of my life.

tomorrow is the start of a beautiful new chapter and while my heart aches knowing these years went by so fast.. I could not be more excited to watch you fly. keep God at the center, trust His plan, and never forget how deeply loved you are.

sweet baby peyton came in for her newborn session and it was SO good seeing this amazing family again 🤍

baby girl #3 and officially 3 under 3 💕 big sisters were absolute rockstars and already love their newest baby sister so much.

peyton did GREAT for her session. we pulled out all the pretty pinks and soft greens and even created a very special setup in honor of great Grandma 🥹

also… apologies for my lack of posting lately 🙈 life and busy season have been BUSY, but get ready because I have SOOOOO many beautiful sessions to share and I cannot wait 🤍
