Photo dump from parts of January. (Not all of them)

This year is already proven that, again, it’ll be a tough one, but accompanied by many beautiful things.

I want to do a lot of new things and I plan to do them all, as time allows. Starting this month I will be offering mini-sessions out of my home which I am new to but also very excited for. This month into February will be for Valentines photos. 💜 ❤️ ♥️

I have been on a “no scroll” policy for social media. For one, it’s trash and filled with thoughts and ideas that are not my own. Two, it’s a horrible way to grow your business unless you’re an avid “content creator”, for which I am not. I just want to take pictures, make memories with other humans and share them how I want.

That being said, I am currently working on a Monthly/Bi-Weekly newsletter that I will start sending out via email to those who want to subscribe to it, with links to my website where I will share a majority of my photos, projects that I am currently working and events/places that I go to take photos. I want to move away from social media and really only use it when I feel prompted to. Other than that, it’s a colossal waste of energy. Plus I want my website to be the home base for which I work.

I’m excited for the adventures and teaching that are ahead in this coming year.

I never take a picture of myself with my own camera, I think it’s bad luck, photographers code. Occasionally a selfie is warranted but I enjoy the mystery of my camera only seeing the emotions of others.

I have some pretty sweet things on the horizon and I can’t wait to share them all with you on this platform.

Time is our most inestimable asset. More important than money or worldly riches because its value is tangible. Not made up. We can buy it. We can sell it. We can give it and we can take it away. But the one thing it cannot do, is replenish. Or earned back, worked for. A moment goes by and it is gone for good. It passes into memory.

One of my favorite quotes from Gandalf goes: “So do I. And so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.”

What we do each moment truly matters. Who we choose to spend it with or don’t spend it with matters. Every minute. Every second. A fleeting moment that can never be relived. Shouldn’t we find our time together more precious, more important and less distracted? It is the greatest single thing we can all give each other. Undivided & attentive. It’s priceless. Don’t let it go by.
