Creating space for mamas to step into the frame with the ones they love most will always be one of my favorite things. More than photos, I hope these become heirlooms—little reminders of a season that passes far too quickly.

Some love stories feel like they’ve always belonged to the mountains.

An evening wandering through the lavender fields with Cindy & Stephen, chasing golden light and collecting little moments that felt like magic. I can’t wait to photograph the next chapter of their story.

A little life update 🌙

As many of you know, I’ve stepped back into nursing full time back in 2023, which means I’m no longer taking on new photography clients in the usual way. This season of life is busy, full, and rooted in caring for others — both at the bedside and at home.

That said… Sister Moon Photography is still very much alive in my heart. ✨ If you feel like we share similar vibes, love whimsical storytelling, and have a creative idea filled with a little magic — you’re always welcome to reach out and ask. From time to time, I do say yes when the right vision and connection come along.

Thank you for continuing to support my art through every season. 🤍

There is something extra special about photographing a mama who is already out here caring for others 🤍

I had the honor of capturing this beautiful maternity session for a nursing school student who is about to step into two incredible roles — nurse and girl mom. And let me tell you… she is going to be amazing at both. You can already see that steady strength, compassion, and warmth that makes someone a natural caregiver.

These are the moments I love capturing most — the quiet beginnings of beautiful stories just waiting to unfold. 🌙

Some weddings just feel like magic ✨

I don’t normally take on weddings these days, but this one… I simply couldn’t say no. From the moment the day began, you could feel the love between the bride and groom — the kind that’s steady, joyful, and deeply rooted. The way they looked at each other said everything.

And their people… oh my heart. They were surrounded by the most incredible circle of family and friends — the kind of guests who laugh loudly, cry freely, and love with their whole souls. It made every moment feel warm, genuine, and unforgettable.

Days like this remind me why I fell in love with photography in the first place — capturing real connection, real emotion, and those fleeting, magical moments you can never recreate.

So honored I got to witness and document such a beautiful love story. 🌙✨

Lately I’ve been wandering through DeKalb, Cherokee, and Etowah counties with a roll of film and a full heart.
Old barns. Winding backroads. Fog lifting off the mountains.
The quiet magic of Northeast Alabama — the kind you don’t rush, the kind you feel.

There’s something about film…
the way it slows you down, makes you notice the light, the wind, the stories woven into these hills.
It feels like honoring the land and the people who’ve loved it long before us.

This is home.
And I’m grateful to capture it this way 🤍
