I’ve been finding it nearly impossible to see the beauty of the world lately. Something that used to come so easily to me, now seems like it was just a dream.

I don’t know if it is because of the negativity constantly being splashed onto the news, or the realization that I’m getting older, and there are no real friends at this age.

It seems like the entire world has become exactly what people dislike, at least in the last handful of years. Greed, selfishness, anger; all of the things our parents would have scolded us for all those years ago; now seem to be the defining factors for the entire human species.

Every time I’ve felt myself becoming weighed down, escaping into the woods almost immediately fixed it. Over the last couple of years, I’ve even lost that love. The weight becoming nearly overwhelming.

I don’t know what I need to do to correct this. I don’t even feel like I know where to start.

I guess all I can say is to be kind to one another. Don’t become the things your parents spent their entire life trying to keep away from. Please try to be better.
