Same spot, different me.

The 2017 version of myself said yes to taking a risk and diving into a passion. Yes to putting myself out there and doing it scared. Yes to starting my very own photography business. My husband took this headshot (second photo) for me and a few days later, I launched my website and made an announcement on social media.

Fast forward 5 years and it has been a wild ride filled with feelings of liberation, defeat, gratitude, comparison, confidence, self-doubt, excitement, isolation, and inspiration (to name a few). I think any small business owner can relate.

This job is so much more than clicking a button. It’s a labor of love and a constant evolution. I’m immensely grateful that the earlier version of myself took this leap and equally thankful for friends and clients who have trusted and believed in me along the way.

Mommy camp officially begins this week! Both kids are home the rest of the summer and this is the first time I’m not stuck at a desk 40 hours a week. I’ll still be working but I’ll be spending a good amount of time going on adventures with them. I’m excited and slightly nervous for my sanity 🙃

I have a running list of activities and places to go, but please send me all the ideas!! We only have a few more years with little kids and we want to make the most of them 🥹

If you’re not following me on Instagram, you may have missed the news 🙂 I closed a big chapter of my life yesterday to make way for KEP to grow!

The University of Maryland was my second home since I was 19 years old, as a student and then staff member for nearly 11 years 🤯 I had an emotional goodbye yesterday but today, I officially embark on the next great adventure ✨

Taking my business full-time has been a dream of mine. I couldn’t have made it to this point without the support of my family, friends, and the most supportive husband. ❤️

Legacy sessions invite you to document your family for future generations. In my opinion, this is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself and all those who follow. Mini-sessions on 3/12 include a print credit to ensure that those images are properly memorialized!

Bring the grandparents or whoever is most important in your life. All are welcome!

1) I have decided to resign from my full-time job! It's been a long time coming and I am so excited to see what the future holds. 🎉
