What do we DO all day for our elopement?⁠

When we chat to our couples we hiiiiiighly encourage them to plan out a whole day. Not a quick hour or two: a DAY.⁠

Because this is your flipping WEDDING DAY just like everybody else’s and we firmly believe you should celebrate the heck out of it!⁠

We know it can be hard to imagine what that actually looks like though.⁠

So, here’s just a little example of what you might like to do for a full-day elopement:⁠

🌅 Early morning - Let’s tackle a short hike to catch sunrise. You get all dressed up and share a private, romantic first look as your wedding day just begins!⁠ Then you can explore and soak in all the magic.

🧺 Mid morning - How about you enjoy a decadent picnic cuddled up by a lake, hearing the birds sing and watching the clouds float by.⁠ You could take the time to read letters from your loved ones.

💤 Early afternoon - Go take a nap! No, seriously. This whole day is mapped out at a nice stress-free pace, so go take a little snooze before getting ready for further adventures.⁠

💍 Late afternoon - Let’s rent Jeeps and go off-roading to a remote overlook. It’s the perfect spot to hold your ceremony and get YOU MARRIED!⁠

🌅 Early evening - As you revel in your newly married bliss, let’s explore and take killer photos as the sun goes down!⁠ You could enjoy a first dance with not a soul around if that’s your vibe.

🌟 Late evening - How about we stay out late to watch the stars? There’s something suuuuper romantic about contemplating the vastness of the universe and realizing how lucky you are to have found your soulmate in the chaos of it all.

How does all that sound?!⁠

We just received the KINDEST review from one of our couples and, honestly, I think if you’re looking for a photographer, hearing about the experience from other couples who have already been in your shoes is the most helpful thing....
“I still can’t find the words to describe how incredible this duo is. For such a monumental moment in your life, there truly is no one better to to have by your side for your elopement!
The entire process was smooth, supportive, and SO easy. They made the planning and ex*****on completely stress free, and on the actual day, it genuinely felt like we were hanging out with our best friends. They are kind, down to earth, incredibly easy to get along with, and most importantly, they are so committed to making sure YOU feel exactly how you want to feel on your day.
And the photography...... WOW.
First of all, having 2 photographers is absolutely top tier for so many reasons. They each showed up with multiple cameras to capture a variety of photos & video, and they even took some iphone footage so we would have snippets to look at that same day! Such a special touch.
The photos themselves are absolutely stunning. They look like they belong on the cover of a magazine, while somehow still feeling completely authentic to us and our day.And the highlight reel video package is a must!! Watching it makes me feel as if I were reliving it all over again, in the most beautiful way. Many tears have been shed! Their editing, music choices, and attention to all the little details are nothing short of an art form.
There’s simply nothing they can’t do. From start to finish, they made us feel supported, comfortable, and completely taken care of. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience or better people to document such an incredibly important moment in our lives.
If you’re even considering booking them, this is your sign. You will not regret it!”

How do we hike in our wedding gear?!⁠

This is probably one of the most common ‘logistics’ questions we get asked by our couples who are opting for a hiking elopement.⁠
⁠
We get it. You’re looking at our Instagram feed, seeing all these badass couples in their wedding gear out in the middle of nowhere and you’re wondering how the heck they did it! How are they not too hot or too cold? How are they not falling over? How can that even be comfortable?!⁠

So, full transparency.....⁠
⁠
Most of our couples hike TO their location in normal clothes! That way they’re relaxed and comfy, they can stride it out and get to their location in good time, and they can stay pretty ‘put together’....⁠
⁠
Then, once we arrive, they can get changed into their wedding outfits and freshen up a little as needed.⁠
⁠
However, on the way back down 99% of our couples DO hike in their wedding outfits!⁠
⁠
By this stage, you’re not so worried about looking ‘perfect’ and it’s a really fun time to get those in-action shots for you. You can take your time, stop for cool pics along the way and really soak in the feeling of being total badasses!⁠
⁠
Really, it’s easier than it might sound. Just make sure you’ve got sturdy shoes on, that your outfits are comfortable and you can move around in them, and that you’ve packed all the usual hiking ‘must haves’ (water, sunscreen etc.)
