I was lucky enough to get to spend time with some of the endangered J-Pod Southern Resident Orcas on 9/6 with in the Haro Striat. J-26 aka Mike took the oppurtunity to show off for us with a full breach creating quite the splash. Mike is 30 years old (1991) and was named after the famed Orca researcher Michael Bigg who discovered that Orca can be uniquely identified by their markings.

Starting the off with this Majestic . Went for a morning walk after a fresh snowfall and found the local Elk herd.

Counted 29 Elk with multiple yearlings in the herd no bucks spotted.

That's a wrap! This is looking over the town of that served as my entrance to on my trips into the valleys beyond. I hope that you all enjoyed the as much as I did while on location. I can't wait to get another opportunity to go visit again.
