Apparently, my career consists of emotionally manipulating people into crying, shooting them hundreds of times, and keeping the evidence forever.

Somehow… they happily pay me for it too. 🫶🏼

Honestly, I wouldn’t trade this job for anything. Capturing the people, moments, and stories that matter most is pretty special.

One thing most people don’t realize is that photographers can often tell what time of day a photo was taken just by looking at the light.

Lighting isn’t just about brightness it’s one of the biggest factors that affects the mood, colors, skin tones, and overall feel of your images. Soft golden light before sunset creates that warm, dreamy look many families love, while harsh midday light can create stronger shadows and a completely different atmosphere.

When clients ask me what time they should schedule their session, I’m not just picking a random hour. I’m thinking about how the light will interact with your location, your skin tones, and the feeling you want your photos to have.

I love being transparent about these details because I believe informed clients make better decisions. My goal is always to help you choose a time that gives you the best experience and the most beautiful final gallery possible.

I think one of the biggest privileges in life is finding something you’d still do even if nobody was watching.

Photography has never felt like a job to me. It’s noticing the little things, chasing good light, preserving moments that would otherwise be forgotten, and telling stories without needing many words.

Sure, this is my career. But it’s also the thing I’d choose on a random Tuesday with no deadline, no paycheck, and nowhere to be.

Not everyone gets to build a life around something they genuinely enjoy. That’s what dreams are made of, and I don’t take it for granted.

So if you ever wonder why I care so much about what I do, it’s because I truly love it..

But here’s the truth: the photos you’ll treasure most years from now won’t be the perfectly posed ones. They’ll be the genuine smiles, the cuddles, the laughter, and the beautiful chaos that makes your family uniquely yours.

Your children won’t remember whether everyone matched perfectly. They’ll remember seeing themselves loved.
