This is sooooo cool!
Check out my "new" MacBook Pro. (Not really new.)
There's a company I saw advertised here on Facebook called Fishskyn. They sell what are essentially prints that you can put on your devices; it's not limited to MacBooks, or even to computers. You can do iPads, iPhones, ear buds (IIRC), and probably other stuff I'm leaving out.
I posted a comment saying, "Wow. This would be totally cool if I could use my own designs." (Or words to that effect; I don't remember exactly what I said.)
Someone there responded, saying that I could do that on their website.
So, I did.
The results arrived in my mailbox last night, and I just finished putting them on. It's not hard, but it's not SUPER-easy. You do have to pay attention to line things up correctly.
I only wish I'd realized that you could leave the trackpad part of the image in place before I let it come loose from the rest. I think it would have looked better. As it was, it came loose. Then I realized you could leave it on, because it doesn't interfere, so I had to try to re-position it within the empty hole I'd created.
Still, I think it looks pretty cool.
What do you think?
Now, Fishskyn, I need to know: is there a way I can sell to others with my artwork in a way that doesn't require me to give them my files? I want to protect my copyrights, and don't want people re-producing my work. I literally have thousands of images, hundreds of which I think would be appropriate for putting on devices that would be viewable in public. (Many are artistic nudes, and might not be.)
