One thing my clients are always surprised by is how much easier everything feels once they realize they don’t have to figure it all out themselves
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A lot of the dresses you see in my photos are actually from my client wardrobe, and I built it very intentionally for Fresno moms, expecting mothers, and couples who want their photos to feel beautiful without spending weeks stress-shopping or panic-ordering things online at midnight
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Especially after having Oliver, I understood this on a completely different level. Sometimes getting yourself dressed feels harder than getting everyone else ready. Your body feels different, you’re overstimulated, your closet suddenly feels wrong, and now you’re supposed to coordinate outfits for your whole family too?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
No thank you 🫣
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So now a huge part of what I do happens before I ever pick up the camera. I help style the session, pull pieces that photograph well together, guide colors and textures, and help you think through what will actually feel comfortable to wear while holding a baby, chasing a toddler, or walking around Bass Lake at sunset
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I want you showing up feeling taken care of, not already exhausted before we even start
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And selfishly… I also love knowing these photos won’t just live on a phone. The dresses, tones, and textures are chosen with the final artwork in mind too, so when your images end up framed in your home years from now, they still feel timeless and like you

You almost didn’t book newborn photos…and these are the moments that would’ve slipped by

The way your baby curled into your chest without even thinking about it, or how tiny they looked stretched across your husband’s arms in the nursery. The slow feeding breaks, the little noises, the way your home held this version of your family before everyone grew into the next stage

A lot of my clients reach out feeling like they’re already behind somehow. Like the house needs to be cleaner first, or they should wait until they feel more rested, more adjusted, more like themselves again. But this season changes so fast while you’re busy living inside of it

You really don’t need to carry the pressure of making everything perfect for these photos to matter. I’ll help guide the whole process so it feels calm, easy, and actually doable in the middle of newborn life 🤍

A few favorites from D & G’s wedding previews 🤍
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We spent most of the week watching the forecast and hoping the rain would hold off long enough for portraits, and somehow everything came together at exactly the right moments. The whole day felt joyful, connected, and so full of genuinely kind people
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
One of my favorite parts after a wedding is getting previews sent over quickly so my couples can relive it all while it still feels fresh. I usually send around 50–100 images within the first week, with little moments from every part of the day before the full gallery is finished
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I never want my couples to go from one of the biggest days of their lives straight into weeks of silence. Getting those previews back quickly means they can look through everything together on the couch the next morning, send favorites to family, post a few memories, and actually sit in the feeling of the day before it all starts to blur 🤍

Most families come into an in-home session carrying the same three concerns: what everyone should wear, whether their baby or child will cooperate, and if their home will even work for photos
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
That is exactly why I approach these sessions the way I do
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For this session, I brought a selection of dresses from my client wardrobe so we did not have to guess ahead of time. Once I arrived, we chose mom’s dress together first, then built the rest of the family’s outfits around it. That made everything feel much simpler because we could see what worked in their home, in their light, and with the overall feeling we wanted the images to have. Instead of spending the morning second guessing outfits, they were able to settle in and trust the process
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
That same ease matters even more with a baby. When your session takes place at home, everything can move at a more natural pace. There is no loading everyone into the car, no pressure to arrive somewhere on time, and no expectation that your baby immediately adjusts to a brand new environment. We can pause when needed, follow their rhythm, and let the session unfold in a way that feels calm instead of rushed
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And when it comes to the house itself, we do not need every room to be perfect. We only need a few spots with good light and enough space to move comfortably. I guide that part too, so you do not have to figure it out before I get there
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
That is what makes in-home sessions so valuable. They remove so much of the pressure families usually associate with photos, and because of that, the final images often feel more connected, more natural, and more like your real life
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If that kind of experience sounds like what your family needs, I would love to help you plan one 🤍

Controversial take: a lot of moms don’t actually want more stuff for Mother’s Day 😳
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
They want a morning that feels slower. A photo where they actually exist in their family memories. Time together that doesn’t feel squeezed between errands and bedtime routines
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I put together a blog post with local Mother’s Day experience gift ideas around Fresno and Clovis because the gifts people remember years later usually aren’t the expensive ones. They’re the mornings at , pottery classes at , a floral class at , brunch in Old Town Clovis, a quiet spa afternoon at , or finally taking the family photos mom has been asking for since the baby was born
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A lot of these ideas are simple, but they feel personal in a way flowers from the grocery store usually don’t
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Comment MOTHER and I’ll send you the link so you can save it or forward it to someone 🤍

If you’ve thought about maternity photos and then immediately felt overwhelmed… this is what it actually looks like
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
They came in together and their daughter was already moving around the studio, curious, going back and forth between them like she had her own rhythm
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We looked through the wardrobe together, tried a couple things, talked through what felt like her
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And with the weather creeping up again (is anyone else seeing it hit almost 100 this weekend?), being inside just makes everything feel easier. No heat, no rushing, and no trying to keep a toddler happy while you’re already uncomfortable
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Once we started, we just played. Their little girl ran to her dad, he’d scoop her up, then she’d reach right back for her mom. It wasn’t still or quiet. It was movement, laughter, little interruptions, her pulling them into whatever she was doing next. And in between all of that, the moments were there. Her leaning in, her hand on her belly without thinking, him right there with them
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I guided them, but there was space for them to just be together too
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I saw mom settle as we went. Not trying to manage everything, not wondering if it was going “right.” Just in it
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And I think that’s the part that often gets missed. Most moms aren’t avoiding photos because they don’t care. It feels like one more thing to plan when you’re already stretched
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What will I wear
What if my toddler doesn’t cooperate
How am I going to pull this off right now
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It adds up fast. But it doesn’t have to feel like that
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Having the wardrobe here, having your partner there, having someone guide the whole thing so you’re not carrying it… it takes a lot of that weight off.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you’ve been sitting in that back and forth, wanting photos but feeling like it’s too much, I get it
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ve got you. From figuring out what session feels right for your family to what you’ll hold in your hands or see on your walls long after your little ones don’t fit in your arms like this anymore

Snow sessions always feel like a gamble when you’re driving up. You’re thinking about the cold, your shoes, if it’s going to feel awkward standing out in the middle of all that white
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And then five minutes in, none of that really matters. You’re closer without trying, you’re laughing because walking in snow is never graceful, and everything slows down in a way that’s actually kind of nice
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It ends up feeling less like a photoshoot and more like you two just taking a minute together somewhere quiet ❄️

A lot of families think they need to get out of the house for photos to feel worth it

But some of my favorite moments happen right here, in the middle of your real life. Kids climbing onto the bed, mom still in a dress she felt good in, toys just pushed to the side enough to make space. It doesn’t have to be perfect to feel like something you’ll want to keep

I’m paying attention to how it all comes together so you’re not walking around wondering what to do next or if it looks okay. You get to stay with your people, and I’ll guide the rest in a way that still feels like you

If you’ve been putting this off because home feels “not ready,” you’re probably closer than you think 🤍

A lot of moms reach out for newborn photos and feel like they need to get everything together first, like the house has to be cleaned, outfits need to be bought, and somehow you’re supposed to feel put together in the middle of recovery and no sleep

But that’s not how this actually works when you’re with me

I bring dresses for you so you’re not ordering five things at midnight and hoping one works, I share trusted hair and makeup artists here in Fresno if you want that extra support, and I walk in already knowing I’m there to take the lead so you don’t have to think through a single part of it

You get to stay where you are… holding your baby, feeding, resting in between, without trying to turn it into something it’s not

If this has been sitting in the “I’ll figure it out later” category, I still have a few newborn dates open this spring/summer and I can help you step into it without it feeling overwhelming 🤍

04/14/2026

Those early days take a lot out of you

You’re figuring out your baby, your body is still recovering, and the days don’t really have clear edges yet. It makes sense that your photos are still sitting on your phone

Most moms I work with thought they’d get to it later. Make an album, print something, do it right. And then weeks pass, then months, and it just… stays there

You’ve been where you needed to be

With your baby, not at your computer trying to design something

That’s the part I step into for my clients

I design their album and walk them through it so it actually becomes something they can hold onto, without having to come back and figure it out later

If you’re expecting or just brought your baby home in Fresno or Clovis and this has been sitting in the back of your mind, I can help with that

I have a few newborn session dates open right now for Fresno and Clovis families, and I walk each one through this whole process from start to finish

If you’ve been thinking about photos and want this handled for you, you can send me a message and I’ll walk you through next steps 🤍
