A rustic barn wedding in SLO didn’t stop Danica and Chris from getting some ocean side portraits this past weekend. Why? Because their love stood the test of time and the distance of oceans over the past nine years. Their love story began in Spain on a buzzed night in a local bar where their two friend groups collided. Danica a SLO native studying abroad through San Diego State, ran into the charming German, Christian also studying abroad through a school in Munich. One drink led to another and a walk home in the rain with a first kiss goodnight began a story of hours of FaceTime calls and countless plane flights. With tired eyes from different time zones and miles apart from one another they pursued a long distance relationship knowing their meeting that night in Spain wasn’t simply a coincidence. After many years and trips from the States to Germany and vice versa, Danica sat through tedious visa appointments to join Chris living in Germany for the last couple years of their relationship. Her love for Chris encouraged her to learn the German language in just a few months to be able to connect and communicate with Chris’s family. After a long 9 years they were finally able to celebrate their love bringing people from all over the world together on this breezy night in San Luis Obispo. It was nothing short of wonderful, and these are the love stories to die for. Coincidence? No. Fate. Definitely.
