Good morning! What a sunrise at Old Orchard Beach this morning! The sky was on fire 🔥 behind the pier, and the lights were reflecting beautifully across the wet sand and water. Those bright lights can be a little tricky to shoot, but I really like the starbursts and balance they create here. 🌞

Good morning. Here are some more from Saturday morning at Portland Head Light. The sunrise really put on a show, and I had a lot of fun moving around and finding different ways to photograph the lighthouse as the sun came up. From the softer colors before sunrise to that beautiful glow once the sun cleared the horizon, it was a good morning to be there. 🌞

This week we had to say goodbye to our sweet girl Alice. She was just about 15 and due to some serious health issues we had to let her leave this physical world. I know everyone thinks their dog is the sweetest, but Alice really was special and the sweetest. When we would walk her, almost everyone we would pass would look at her and light up with a big smile. Here are some pictures to celebrate her life. She is so loved and will be missed beyond words.

The last picture I already shared is the Eclipse from Thursday night, if you look at the clouds to the right, and maybe squint a little you can see Alice’s face silhouette in the clouds. It made for a special moment on a really tough day.

Good morning! Here's another from Portland Head Light this morning. I really like how this came out! I spotted this tiny puddle in the road leading to the lighthouse and knew I wanted to catch the reflection, so I got down as low as I could... and pretty much got right in it! 😆 With the sun coming up directly behind the lighthouse and those rays of light coming through, what a beautiful morning. Definitely one of my favorites from this visit. 🌞

Good morning! A beautiful sunrise at Portland Head Light this morning. I really liked this view with the sun just coming over the horizon, Portland Head Light off to the side, Ram Island Ledge Light way out on the left, and all that late summer color from the pokeweed filling the foreground. 🌞

Good morning! I stayed up a little later than usual tonight to catch the lunar eclipse. The clouds were moving through, but luckily they gave me enough openings to get a few shots.
Definitely worth staying up for. 🌕🌑
