I want to start showing up here in a more intentional way. I have a lot to say about art, faith, and rebuilding ekklesia in the ruins of what passes for Christianity in the American west these days, and I have a lot of tools for & more importantly, , and I want to show you more of the ways that my photography & art attempts to reveal the immanent Divine, because I know the Holy is here and I can see it.
I watched the new documentary on the Duggars yesterday and really deeply realized that if I don’t name my faith, the way my story about God informs the way I live, then these people and their twisted vision may be all you ever hear about, and there is a strong call on my heart to speak up & be heard about the way I have spent the last two decades of my life developing my own relationship to the Divine, in & out of school, in community & in quiet meditation, in church & on the mountain.
