40 years ago I worked at the Rappahannock Area YMCA and Barney Reiley was the sports director.
This weekend I photographed him as he retired as CEO and handed the baton off to the future generation.
Barney, you have done an incredible job and given so much to our community over the decades.
Thank you, my friend. Enjoy that retirement!

This week I had the pleasure of photographing the King George High School Concert & Wind Ensemble along with Jazz band.
This is a project I’ve been working on since 2007, back when Aaron Noe was the band teacher.
The collage pictured is the oldest one still hanging in the band room, from 2010.
I have loved being a part of the band students lives over these 18 years!

Today I had the honor of photographing the First Responders Breakfast for the Fredericksburg Chamber of Commerce.
It is truly an honor to have the long-time friendships of so many of the brave men and women who risk their lives every day for our safety.
I personally want to thank them all, but also am reminded of the great friendships I have had with many of these kind and brave souls.
Thank you to Patrick Weston, State Trooper Wharton, Randy Pinneta, and last but not least, David Sullivan. David and I have been friends since before either of us can remember, as our mothers are best friends.
Thank you for keeping us all safe and thank you for your kind spirits. I appreciate you all!

I wanted to take a moment and invite you to the opening of Fredericksburg’s newest used book store, Fred Books!
Most of you know me as a photographer and nothing is changing there. I’ll always be photographing.
But my friend Carlo Rubio and I don’t like sitting still, so we decided to take on this challenge. One thing we can say for sure is that books aren’t dead (as the popular rumor proclaims).
We are an event-based book store, so we are only open on set dates.
