I wish I could remember my first memories here...with Gram 🧡

I don't know if it was being a little girl chasing lightning bugs around after the sun went down, pretending to be a cowboy like Grandpa, shooting coke cans with his .22 and exploring the woods like a wild child...
Maybe swingin on the front porch with sweet tea in a mason jar with her...or listening to the rain hit the red tin roof.
Maybe it was driving down this dirt road and seeing Grandpa on his tractor, or him showing me how to saddle a horse before taking me on a ride...

I don't know which it might have been...but I know that I think of this place and the roots that run deep from it, and how now my babies get to see it...feel and smell it. Chase and play and savor some of what I did at their age. Savor her... Grandpa is gone, but she is still there...holding down our Tennessee roots and providing a haven for us to retreat to when we need it, with arms open and plenty of that sweet tea.

She's the anchor that ties me to this place. A walking piece of history and an inspiration I don't have words to describe. An old Cherokee woman, strong and so resilient. She is immeasurable beyond oceans and I thank God that she gave me this place, my mama, and some roots that run deep. I don't quite remember my first memories here, but I know that it's a sacred place where memories are made. This is a slice of my heaven on earth and she's the angel that I'm blessed to savor in it. My beautiful Gram...my beautiful memories at Gram's house. Moments like these I thank God for inspiring me to pick up a camera. Memories I will keep and treasure for all time. Through generations ✨️❤️

"Are you still photographing?"

It's been a little quiet behind the scenes these last months, as I've needed to pause the socials, chase my sweet babies, love on my family and have many a heartfelt conversation with Jesus.
Watching the rain fall here in Colorado while soaking up the changes of Spring has been a beautiful and gentle reminder that it's perfectly alright to take a beat. A breath. Slow down and fill that precious cup before deciding to exhale.
God blessed me to create and I want to do it with the fullness of my heart and a fresh, fulfilled inspiration to shine light on the beauty of this world.
I have some amazing things to share, coming very soon. Thank you sweet Spring, for prompting to shed, watering the seed and reminding to bloom. 🌱

Yea...Those are my favorite sessions...✨️

Your little ones don't need to sit still, be strictly posed, or forced uncomfortably to maintain composure for our session. I truly adore working with children and understand how those days of juggling little ones on photo day can be (I'm a mom too ♥️). The stress, "everyone stay clean", ice cream bribes and all the promises if they can just pull through for this ONE thing!
When working with those little darlins, I love to let them lead our flow, engage and find comfort in our environment while finding their confidence and security working with a complete stranger. Sometimes they need to wiggle, run, play with a prop or just have a cuddle. This is also when the photos you didn't even realize you needed the most are captured of your little wildlings, totally themselves as your stories unfold. You also deserve to enjoy this experience and not worry about if your children are "too much".

They aren't...I promise ✨️

We will get that cookie cutter shot for Grandma and your Christmas cards, I can assure you, but our session will also be one I very much hope will leave you feeling happy and fulfilled knowing we eased our way through and captured you and your little ones exactly as you are and exactly as it should be 🥰

When I met mom and dad several years ago, she was pregnant with big brother here. I remember thinking during her maternity session that there couldn't be two souls more in love...they exuded so much intimate, loving energy. I walked away from that session positively buzzing from being in their presence. Mama was expecting baby sister here and the loving energy was so remarkable. Still such a love story couple, just expanded with each chapter...each little addition. Baby sister has since arrived safe and sound with her photo debut scheduled in coming days ❤️

These special moments and memories we as photographers get to hold on to while preserving yours... ah. We share so much more than people realize when blessed with the opportunity to document love stories of all kinds...such a blessing getting to marinate in the beauty of others ❤️

I've had the honor of photographing this gorgeous family ever since mama was pregnant with big sister. Documenting family growth and different seasons of life with the beautiful families I get to work with brings my heart so much joy!
So grateful for the relationships and friendships I get to build while working with the most wonderful people. When I heard baby sister was getting ready for her photo debut, I was over the moon.
