Amy & Dan’s Topanga Canyon wedding was featured on
Tucked away in the hills at The Mountain Mermaid, their day felt like stepping into a romantic storybook. Think whimsical bohemian energy with Mediterranean architectural influences mixed with rustic canyon charm.
Amy has an incredibly refined eye for fashion and she leaned all the way in. Her wedding dress with its delicate lace-up corset back. Vintage designer pieces she personally thrifted, multiple outfit changes throughout the day (because when you have several favorite looks, why not wear them all?) and her bridesmaids in dresses from her own collection. Dan matched the energy in a dark green suit with a thrifted bolo tie.
What really set this day apart, they intentionally designed a neurodivergent friendly celebration. No bright lights, no loud music. Just an intimate, joyful space where everyone could actually connect. The whole thing felt unhurried and effortlessly elevated. Amy also wanted to honor her heritage, so they wove in a traditional Chinese tea ceremony that added such a beautiful, meaningful layer to the day.
Handmade tarot cards for each guest. An indulgent grazing table. Meaningful toasts shared in the grand wooden room. Every detail reflected who they are & it was the sweetest day.
