Every August, I find myself asking, “How is it already time again?”

Then I look back at last year’s back-to-school photos.

There’s something about those first days at home that feels like time stands still. Suddenly, the only thing that matters is memorizing the way they fit perfectly against your chest, the tiny stretches after a nap, and the quiet moments where you look at each other and think, we really made this little person.

Those are the moments I love most during an in-home newborn session. Not perfectly posed. Not rushed. Just your family exactly as you are, wrapped up in your own little world while the rest of life fades into the background.

These quiet, ordinary moments deserve to be remembered just as much as the milestones.

Let’s talk about in-home newborn sessions and why they’re my favorite 🤍

It’s not about having the “perfect” home, matching decor, or an aesthetically curated nursery. It’s about documenting the beginning of a brand new chapter in the place that already feels the most like you. The place where you’re learning your baby, soaking in those sleepy newborn snuggles, and settling into life together.

Your house doesn’t need to look Pinterest-perfect. Truly. All I need is a window, a little bit of space, and the love you already have. Messy counters? Baby gear everywhere? Pets wandering into photos? That’s real life. Need to stop to feed baby, change a diaper, or take a breather? We go at your pace. In-home newborn sessions are gentle, relaxed, and centered around preserving this tiny little season exactly as it felt.

Because years from now, these photos won’t just remind you what your baby looked like. They’ll remind you what home felt like in the middle of your newborn bubble 🤍
