One of many things I love about Maine: everyone knows someone. A suggested photos in a harbor and whaddya know, Josh has a buddy with a private dock.

We chatted, laughed, enjoyed the dock views, and skipped rocks. So if you think a photo session equals the awkward stand-and-pose situation- think again. 🙃

POV: You’re a portrait and wedding photographer living in coastal, down east Maine and summer finally makes an appearance.

I explored around the island this weekend and went to Southwest Harbor, Bar Harbor, Bass Harbor and Acadia National Park.

Photographing families in and around Acadia National Park is not where I imagined we would be a year ago but I couldn’t be more thankful that’s what I’m doing this year! What an absolute dream come true.

Motherhood, Hallelujah 🩷

Breanne & Michael’s puppies nearly stole the show but it’s safe to say the whole family is pretty excited about sweet baby Wilson!

Thanking God for the gift of motherhood, good mom’s, and thinking of those still waiting for their miracle. 🫶🏻

In a rare twist, I didn’t make it out into the desert last weekend (perhaps a good thing since it’s a snake season), so it’s the perfect time to share Madlyn’s senior session!

We kept it true to her by including all the country things, music, adventured through the creek, and she even picked up a little frog friend all the way 🤪

Did this family session happen in Flagstaff, Arizona or Maine because I mean who can even tell?!

Conner and Echoe make three kids three and under look easy, perhaps in part due to how dang cute their little babies are 💕

It’s always so special to see this family and can’t wait to see them in Maine next! Right and ?! 🙃

Jessica & Zachary Thompson

Seems a little unfair we only get to experience this incredible wedding day once but I suppose that’s part of what makes the day so special.

Their preview gallery is incredible but what you don’t see (yet) is all the well thought out details: the popcorn bar before ceremony, the personal wood fire pizzas, the late night taco bar - so many memorable touches that weren’t only so fun, but memorable to them.

Suffice to say, it was a perfect day for a wedding in Phoenix and as you can easily tell, the joy carried on right up until midnight.
