Congratulations to the 2026 graduating class of Leadership Venango!

This program through the Venango Area Chamber of Commerce brings together emerging leaders from across the county to strengthen connections, build leadership skills, and learn more about the organizations and communities that make Venango County special.

It was an honor capturing this year’s graduation and celebrating the accomplishments of a group dedicated to making a positive impact in our region. Hats off to you all!

I wanted to take time to wish all of our my followers, friends, and families a very Happy Mother's Day.
May your day be filled with love, laughter, appreciation, and time spent with the people who matter most. Thank you to all the amazing mothers and mother figures who make a difference each and every day. 🌺 🌸

After a snowy, rain-soaked Saturday, Sunday has turned into a perfect day to browse at the Franklin Gardeners Association May Garden Mart. 🌺 🌼

Fountain Park is buzzing with people picking out additions for their spring gardens. There’s still plenty of time to stop to May Mart. Vendors will be open until 4pm. Come on down to the park and shop local. 🌼

It was a cold, rainy Thursday afternoon along French Creek, but the dreariness quickly faded. I spotted my first male Baltimore Oriole of the season, locked in a spirited squabble with a group of finches over grape jelly and oranges. 🍇🍊

They may be a common sight this time of year, but it never gets old on our cloudy days. After their long migration, there’s something special about helping them refuel with a well-earned, high-sugar treat.

A paws-itive post for this Sunday 🐾

The Franklin Rotary Club recently hosted their 2nd Annual Yappy Hour at Trails to Ales—bringing together pups, people, for a great cause. 🐶

The event helped raise funds for the Franklin Rotary Club Dog Park Project, an exciting project for our community and its four-legged friends. 🐕🦮🐩🐕‍🦺

Here’s a calming stream for this Earth Day Wednesday. 🌎
I captured this video last autumn at one of my favorite spots along Mill Creek.

Turn up the volume, take a few deep breaths, and enjoy a quiet moment in nature. 🌳🌲

The sun made a welcome appearance while I was out capturing the blooming trees throughout the downtown parks today. I got to shoot one of my favorite locations with the Venango County Courthouse.
This time of year changes so quickly, I try to get out every day when the light is right and there’s a bit of blue in the sky. There is a positivity watching those brown hillsides come back to life and turn green almost overnight. ☀️🌳🌳🌳🌳

What started as a peaceful spring stroll through Fountain Park quickly took a turn. While capturing the colorful blooms around Egbert Fountain, my phone suddenly blared a tornado warning for our area. After snapping a few final shots of the darkening sky, I made a quick exit through Bandstand Park and headed home. No immediate damage where I was, but I could almost guarantee that numerous tree limbs were snapped in the surrounding area. Just another reminder of how quickly the weather can change in Northwestern Pennsylvania. Always a good reason to have access to weather notifications this time of year.
