I had the honor of capturing a beautiful wedding at Rustic Vows in Mineral Bluff, Georgia, and it was truly one for the books.

The couple even brought along their adorable corgi to serve as their ring dog, which made the day even more special! Although rain was in the forecast, the weather turned out absolutely perfect, and we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day.

There were so many meaningful moments throughout the ceremony and reception, but one moment touched all of us deeply. During portraits, a butterfly landed on the bride’s bouquet. It then fluttered around her, landed on a bridesmaid’s bouquet, circled back around, and returned to the bride’s flowers. For over two minutes, it stayed nearby, appearing in multiple photos before finally flying away.

The bride’s mother had sadly passed away from cancer, and in that moment, we all felt her presence. Goosebumps covered our arms, tears filled our eyes, and there wasn’t a doubt in anyone’s mind that she was there in spirit, sharing in her daughter’s special day. It was one of those moments that simply can’t be explained.

Later during the reception, another family member spotted a butterfly that looked just like the first one. As it danced around the celebration, they mentioned how butterflies always reminded them of her mom. It was another beautiful reminder that love never truly leaves us.

The day was filled with thoughtful details and heartfelt moments. The food was incredible, but what stood out even more was that the bride and groom personally served their guests. I thought that was such a unique and meaningful way to honor the people who came to celebrate with them.

To top it all off, I discovered that the bride and I had so much in common. It truly is a small world!

✨ Quick Update (summer scheduling, fall/Christmas mini dates)✨

Hey everyone!

This season has been much busier than I anticipated, and I am incredibly grateful for that! Thank you all so much for your continued support of my small business.

Now that my three boys are home for the summer, my schedule will be a little tighter as I balance both family life and photography. Because of that, I truly appreciate your patience during the editing process. I never like to rush through editing—I want to make sure I am delivering my very best work to every family who trusts me with their memories.

With that said, I will have limited availability this summer. June is already completely booked, but I still have some openings in July and August. If you’re hoping to schedule a session, please reach out several weeks in advance, as that will give you the best chance of securing a spot.

It’s also hard to believe, but fall is already starting to fill up quickly! Fall and Christmas are always my busiest seasons, and I do have to limit the number of sessions I take so I can maintain a healthy balance between home life and work while continuing to provide the quality experience you deserve.

🍂 Fall Mini Sessions will be held sometime in October.
🎅 Santa Mini Sessions are scheduled for December 5th.

If you’re interested in either of these, go ahead and mark your calendars, as spots will be limited! I will be posting the Santa Mini booking link within the next couple of weeks, so keep an eye out. I wanted to give everyone plenty of notice so you can plan ahead during what I know is a very busy season for many families.

I had the sweetest family session celebrating the newest addition to their family — a precious baby girl! Their older daughter and son came out to greet me with the biggest smiles and absolutely no fear of me whatsoever. They were so well-mannered, kind, and genuinely excited for their family photo session!

This family was incredibly close and connected, which made photographing them feel so natural and effortless. I simply gave a few prompts here and there and spent the rest of the session capturing the sweet in-between moments and the children just being themselves.

At one point, they caught a cricket during the session and were SO excited to show everyone — one of those little moments that makes a session feel so genuine and memorable.

Another sweet and unique session in the books that I feel so honored to have captured!

I had so much fun with this family last night! The two oldest children were twins, and then they had a younger brother — the sweetest bunch with so much free-spirited energy! It was an absolute blast. 🤍

We started in the river, then rode a side-by-side up to the top of the mountain (the photoshoot definitely continued inside the vehicle 🤍), and made it to two other dreamy locations along the way! They wanted mostly candid photos with just a few smiling-at-the-camera family shots, and it turned into one of my most fun and creative sessions yet! I can’t wait to share more once I’m finished editing!

Debating doing a mommy and me mini session! Would people be interested in this? It could be a gift or just something you gift yourself! How often do we get pictures of us being moms? These would be more candid shots and a couple of looking at the camera pictures.

Sessions will be held on March 22 in Franklin and will be fully customizable. I’ll have spring and Easter props set up, but you’re welcome to choose what fits your family best — family photos, just the kids, Easter-themed pictures, or a mix of everything!

Look how adorable these family portraits turned out! 🥰
People are often worried their children won’t “cooperate”… but they’re children—and that’s the magic. We follow their lead. Their creativity brings out real moments, real smiles, and memories that truly matter!

Family portraits don’t always have to be stiff, standing, and posed. The photos you’ll treasure most are the ones that take you back to a moment that made them giggle and made you genuinely smile. Those are the memories worth capturing. You can feel how much love this family has for each other! They were so so sweet!

I absolutely love playful sessions like this! They are my favorite! What you don’t see is that it was incredibly windy and around 30 degrees during this session. 🥶 We took plenty of breaks to warm up these little ones. Capturing sweet, authentic moments takes patience—but it’s always worth it. 🤍

Happy snow day, everyone! ❄️
I am completely amazed — 6.5 inches of snow and still counting! I’ve never seen anything like it.

The kids woke up SO excited, squealing the second they saw outside. We bundled up and had a blast until the cold chased us back in 🥶
