Reality check: This is what a 'cinematic' set looks like before the magic happens. 🕯️✨

​It’s raw, it’s wrinkled, and currently looks more like a bedsheet than a 3,000-year-old tomb. But as a lover of all things ancient and mystical, I see the potential. With a bit of lighting manipulation, some intentional shadows, and a few choice props, these hieroglyphs are going to tell a story.

​It was such a pleasure meeting this beautiful family yesterday!
I am absolutely obsessed with the creative vision they brought to their maternity session.
We decided to debut this brand-new stage setup, and the cinematic, moody atmosphere it creates is everything.

Older babies bring eye contact, expressions, and personality.
Yes, they may be more awake.
Yes, we might do fewer sleepy poses.
But what you gain instead?

Everyone says you “missed the newborn window” after 14 days…
but nobody talks about this.
She was almost 2 months old, wide awake, and still absolutely perfect.
Tiny expressions. Soft smiles. Real personality starting to show.
Not every newborn session has to be sleepy to be beautiful.
Sometimes awake is the vibe — and honestly? I’m here for it 😌
