Paula Steinman's Photography and More Fiber artist Paula Steinman has now added photography as her inspiration in creating unique and colorful hand knitted designs using exotic yarns.

As a fiber artist for the past seven years, I strive to keep my hand knitted designs fresh and colorful as wearable art. My inspiration for the eclectic mix of colors and textures comes from the natural beauty that surrounds me. it was only a matter of time before I was as comfortable with a camera in my hands, as I was with a pair of knitting needles. I have now added my photographs for purchase,

in addition to my collection of shawls, scarves ponchos and more. It is my hope that you will enjoy my idea of joining the two mediums together and how it extends itself to the fiber arts.

World known Cantor Daniel Muhtli, of Turkish descent, is head cantor of the Central Synagogue, NY, NY, streaming Yom Kippur services, last evening. Along with the amazing choir and famed cellist, Julian Schwartz, emotionally and spiritually lead the Kol Nidre to its heartrending heights. Melodies and prayers handed from one generation to another, for thousands of years, surface in your heart and mind, forever binding you to your roots as n Judaism.

I will post opening services, with Julian Schwartz playing the Kol Nidre and a portion of closing, with the congregation singing along with Adonolom.

This is truly a solemn Yom Kippur. The mournful notes of Kol Nidre, have always made me cry. May you have an easy fast...

As we recite Kaddish, the mourner’s prayer, think of loved ones long gone and those who lost their lives recently, in the powerful storms that have affected so many…

Megan has baked some beautiful sour dough bread and a fabulous blackberry cheese cake for dessert. The Chick Shack had a hen party with its own gourmet charcuterie assortment and a handheld salad, by chef Josh. All in all, the newly weds love and share their farm life, making it a little better every day. Grandson Elliot, enjoys helping with the chickens and swimming the creeks… and so it grows….
