A collection of butterflies photographed at various locations across southwest Ohio and central Kentucky. My container garden here at the Forks is set up to attract pollinators and lately things have started to pick up as they discover it. I hope that if you garden that you will set aside a small area dedicated to these beautiful creatures.

Lions Mane fungus. Found it growing on a silver maple a few sites from ours. My daughter Autumn Schlieper is a forager and fungus aficionado and she says it also a edible and medicinal fungus. When it has spore it will look like a lions mane with hanging tendrils. I hope to capture that when it happens.
